I would love to SGA on the Sixers. SGA/Maxey running with Embiid and let Harden Harris go would be my dream with a bunch of long athletic 6’5’-6’9’’ role guys around them.

I know you were pulling for some Embiid this year. Maybe we can talk to ownership and get these franchise merged. Corporations do this shit all the time to corner the market. We can split the 41 home games. Yearly, we can take turns on playoff series. I’ll let OKC take year one. You in?

That trade would be so dumb too. He's a UFA but if he really wanted the Lakers, it'd have to be a sign and trade. In whatever deal, you'd have to find a team to take Westbrook if not the Bulls (like you said), and you'd probably have to give up every draft pick you've got available to trade as well cuz ain't no way the Bulls are giving you Lavine for just Westbrook. But with the Lakers being way over the cap and in the luxury and getting him S&T, that triggers the hard cap. So the Lakers could only sign vet minimum guys. Can't even go over the cap to pay your own guys anymore. You'd literally have Lebron, AD, Lavine, and a bunch of scrubs. Lavine is better than Westbrook, but that move makes you what, a 6 seed at best and now you've got no assets until 2030.

You've got plenty to match salary with either love or levert and some other bits

and a lottery pick.

Saw an interesting prediction from an NBA executive (unnamed of course) predicting that the Lakers will hire current Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin.

He says Griffin has dealt with superstars (former player, coached Westbrook, coached with Team USA) and won't be intimidated by a players "status".

Learning under Nick Nurse doesn't hurt his resume either, imo.

I’m happy about this, he earned his keep last year. One very good thing about this is the Thunder now have a very experienced guy to match these potential draft picks up against to see how they respond.

...or he picked it up to be included in a trade, a la Montrezl last year. Either way, helpful.

You're shopping Tobias like Lakers fans are shopping Westbrook, lol. That contract isn't going to be easy to move without taking back another bad contract most likely.

Moving Maxey is a step backwards. Should be a key building block for the franchise IMO.
