I saw a meme today that said Paul is the only player in nba history to blow 5 2-0 series leads.

No one else has done it more than 3 times

Portland should sign him

I was thinking OKC. They got cap room to sign him outright and dare Phoenix to match. Even if they do, they can use their shit ton of draft picks to put together some kind of sign and trade. Giddy/Shai/Ayton ain't a bad young core to build around

To play devils advocate there are 5 starters in an NBA lineup just like there are 22 starters on a team in the NFL....no player wins and loses games by themselves.

In New Orleans, he was carrying those teams since he wasn't on a loaded roster....

Sure, but he's the common thread among those teams. Maybe he's worn down at the end of the season due to his size (and age lately)? Maybe he's losing sleep worrying about Jake from State Farm? Or he's just on flawed teams.

Game 7 was a lot about Dallas winning, not necessarily the Suns coming up short. Great defensive plan to wear down Paul and defend Booker. It's amusing how many people have completely jumped off the CP3 bandwagon. He's a huge part of the reason the Suns got where they did the past 2 seasons. Without him, they're a bunch of kids without leadership.

Not a great comparison. Because of the number of players involved and the fact that NFL players don't play both sides of the ball, while NBA players do, it doesn't really work.

That's why Lebron in his prime could carry an otherwise lottery level team deep into the playoffs, but the "Lebron of football" (whoever that may be) is only going to add maybe a couple of wins.

A better comparison might be hockey where a hot goalie can carry an otherwise mediocre team a long way in the playoffs.
