if the Pacers ca

right.....

East is just so deep right now though

if they can get rid of Brogdon for only expirings--- your cap is very clean......trade Turner for some stuff since he is expiring....

only contracts for next year would be McConnell at 9M and Hield at 18.....and Hield would be moveable on the last year of his deal......

they have options to get to a lot a cap space and have a nice young core by next summer. It should only be 1 year in the tank

All 4 of those vets are easily moveable.

Should trade tj

Plenty of teams need a backup pg.

Mavs should’ve gotten him, I hear they are about to lose a guard….

I have never once pushed back on the idea that the Wizards might trade for Brogdon.

It is your unrealistic expectation that Brogdon is a trade asset that will draw a decent young player and a pick.

He is most definitely not a trade asset. He is a liability. The type you have to attach a pick to to move unless you are taking back a worse contract.

And I am definitely the biggest Malcom Brogdon fan on this site.

I disagree with you on this.

He’s an asset

The wiz are also a terrible fitting trade partner due to how too heavy their salary obligations are and their irrational love of kuz

Let's see some consistency from the NBA.

Knicks and Sixers should both get the same penalty Chicago and Miami got last season

You didn’t even get consistency last year

You guys got off easy.

The nba said bucks only got a 2 for the bogdanovich fiasco because the deal didn’t happen

The Lowry and ball deals went through

Both teams should’ve lost their first in that case

How much do you think teams are going to want to give to get Brogdon's 20 million a year for 2 years contract and watch him miss a 1/3-1/2 the season?

I don't know if he's a negative asset but if he isn't, he isn't worth much.

So if Wolves do end up with Capela like is sometimes rumored I am curious about the lineups. Mcdaniels, KAT, Capela is a lot of size on the court, without losing a ton of athleticism. Add in Edwards and Russel and it feels like they are trying to copy the bucks, only without the wingspan and defense.....and Giannis

Yes we will.

The expiring contract trade you are hoping for means you will be taking back longer term bad contracts.

Might be for better fitting players, but Russ’ expiring contract is not an asset.

True. The idea, of course, is that the better fitting pieces will work well enough with Lebron, a hopefully healthy AD and some better fillers to get them to contend.

The old "one man's trash is another man's treasure" thing. lol

Russ and reaves for randle

Gotta take more salary back from NY (Fournier most likely). Randle probably needs the ball in his hands too much to work with Lebron and a PG.

Who is taking that contract?

Charlotte maybe if they want that cap relief next season to keep re-signing their own guys? Otherwise, probably just waiting him out one more season. Might be more interest at the deadline for that cap relief.
