It becomes GS Snake Part 2. “He couldn’t beat the Celtics so he joined them.”Why?
I think he just wants to win at this point.

Because Morey is uninventive. He knows Gordon works well with Harden. Same with Tucker. Those guys are both two way players especially relative to the guys they are replacing. Why is Philly trying to land Gordon?
I thought their offseason moves would be to try and address a wing defender and a backup big?
Tucker is gonna be tough now. I don’t think they made enough cap room on draft night to extend the full midlevel exception. I think they struggled to deal Thybulle and the Melton move was their Plan B.PJ Tucker and Gordon.

I don’t know how they can get the room to do that at this late hour to be able to extend 3/30 million (which would be the full midlevel). Even if they don’t pick up the option on Shake Milton that doesn’t get them to a position where they can exercise the full midlevel. Maybe my math is off or there is another shoe that’s gonna drop.Hmmmm....
Maybe another move coming?
This is from Stein today
Numerous rival teams, meanwhile, say with even more conviction now than they did last week — when I first it reported on Wednesday — that they expect PJ Tucker to land in Philadelphia on a three-year, $30 million deal in free agency. If Pat Riley’s Heat can find a way now to re-sign Tucker, they will definitely surprise some people.

It’s probably a shoe that’s gonna drop. Maybe it’s essentially giving away Thybulle for a 2nd. I think Thybulle’s money and Shake’s money disappears and they then have enough. The Gordon rumors are weird now that DG has been dealt. Sixers would need Gordon to be in a Harris deal now and Sixers take back more salary from Houston. You got Melton.
Maybe Shake is getting dealt.
Maybe more.

But, that's quite the drop.
Can't say I'm surprised.
Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, was once considered a top-30 prospect for his recruiting class. Apparently, that's no longer the case.
James' highest career ranking for Rivals' top 150 was No. 29 back on May 26.
While there's no shame in being ranked No. 60, this is a noticeable drop for James. It's unclear what exactly led to this massive change.
247Sports' Composite rankings, meanwhile, has James listed as the No. 47 overall recruit and No. 7 shooting guard in the 2023 class.
Despite this drop in the rankings, the goal remains the same for James. He wants to follow in his father's footsteps and make the NBA.

See, fucking drama queen.
These guys just like hearing their names ring out....
Bradley Beal 'very likely' to decline option and re-sign with Wizards on max deal
In Beal’s case, a $36.4 million player option is much more certain to be declined. Even if Beal simply re-signs with the Wizards, he can increase his 2022-23 salary to the projected max of $42.7 million. Per Wojnarowski, Bradley Beal is very likely to decline the option and re-sign with Washington on a five-year deal worth a projected $248 million that would take him through age 33.
He is 100% signing that supermax with Washington and then demanding a trade within 6 months.
Knicks likely to sign him as an undrafted FA in a few years.Oof....

No one is trading for that contract. He is 100% signing that supermax with Washington and then demanding a trade within 6 months.
No one is trading for that contract.
I mean, we've discussed it here before.I will tell you what led to it
He was only that high to begin with because of his dad.
He probably continues to fall.
I mean, we've discussed it here before.
I'm not implying that I know more than the scouts.
But, he has never looked like a 4 star recruit in the limited games I watched him play (5).
Beal?No one is trading for that contract.
