I agree with Scal. The Celtics still have the best offer if they are willing to trade Brown, I dont believe they should though
I agree with that. The Celtics salary filler (sans Horford) is likely to be better than most teams as well. Some solid role players available to make it work in Grant Williams, Marcus Smart, Timelord, etc…

Honestly a max with 3 years guaranteed and protections for 4 and 5 for missed time like embiid and Isaac have in their deals makes sense

Brown and Tatum are on the same timeline.

So, I definitely see your point.

But, it's KD.

Don't care who your 2nd best player is.

There are 2 guys I'm not even pausing to trade them to get...

Giannis and KD.

Anthony Davis, George......IDGAF

Dueces.

@Shanemansj13 @tlance

See, fucking drama queen.

These guys just like hearing their names ring out....

Bradley Beal 'very likely' to decline option and re-sign with Wizards on max deal

In Beal’s case, a $36.4 million player option is much more certain to be declined. Even if Beal simply re-signs with the Wizards, he can increase his 2022-23 salary to the projected max of $42.7 million. Per Wojnarowski, Bradley Beal is very likely to decline the option and re-sign with Washington on a five-year deal worth a projected $248 million that would take him through age 33.

He is 100% signing that supermax with Washington and then demanding a trade within 6 months.

Durant will be 34 at the time of next season. I will gladly take that trade if im Boston. He got 3-4 seasons left of playing superstar quality basketball

This is the only way trading for KD makes sense.

The Nets can choose from these players only- Horford, Theis, Luke Kornet, Nik Stauskas, Sam Hauser + two 1st rounders & multiple 2nd rounders.

That's totally legit isn't it?

If Jaylen Brown isn’t in there just about everybody’s offer is better than the Celtics.

So you dont want a top 2 player in basketball while not trading your best player?

He's now injury prone and isn't getting any younger. He's also 8 years older than Brown.

Do you see him having the same type of longevity as LeBron? Father Time catches all players.

You make up a good point. IF the Lakers find a trade partner for Russ…big if, AD for KD. I give that no chance of happening. The Celtics have better fillers with Brown….just saying Lebron and KD is insane. The C’s have the supporting cast too though…they should make that trade for KD

I do actually or close enough. I do entering the 24-25 season he will still be a top 5 player in basketball. Thing about KD is he is not some athletic freak. Just a sniper and you usually don't forget how to shoot so I think he will age really well. Usually the atheltic guys/those who rely on speed are the guys who age poorly. Father time will catch up but will be delayed just how it is with Bron

I haven't read thru all the comments so I may have missed your thoughts, but would you give up Bam in a KD trade?

On one hand, you're pretty close to being a team that can win the Finals. Literally a piece a way say if you could pull of a trade for Beal or another type of all star (Dejounte Murray, Donovan Mitchell, etc) and still keep Bam in place. But on the other, there's a good argument that you didn't get there this year because Bam underperformed. KD+Jimmy Butler would be a tough pairing to pass up. Getting a serviceable center to make up for Bam's loss shouldn't be too hard.

The LeBron & KD comparison. LeBron's injury issues really didn't start getting him until he got the L..A., his 16th year in the league. 34 years old.

KD's obviously younger but over the last 3 seasons the injury bug has really gotten him. Injuries have become a real issue for him since the '19 Finals. He was 30 then.

His durability going forward is my concern.

Latest from Marc Stein

There’s been ‘serious murmurs’ about John Wall successfully negotiating a buyout with the Rockets, “Interest in Wall from the Clippers and Heat, if he can finally make his way onto the open market, has been mentioned for months.”
