Just as with Laker trades obviously Miami does not have the pieces they are willing to part with that would compete with what other teams would offer.

Kd is under contract. He can't force Brooklyn to take a shitty deal just because.
Doesn't he have like 4 fucking years left?

Lmao

Call his bluff.

They SHOULD be shooting for the moon
Durant hasn't even started the clock on his extension.

Sure, he can apply pressure and try to dissuade teams from trading for him.

But, he won't be a free agent until 2026...lol

The moon it is.

Kids are still asleep.....wife is going to the hospital to give daughter a binky for the baby.

Might be in line for a nap.

Oof....

Don't like trolling kids.

But, that's quite the drop.

Can't say I'm surprised.

Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, was once considered a top-30 prospect for his recruiting class. Apparently, that's no longer the case.

James' highest career ranking for Rivals' top 150 was No. 29 back on May 26.

While there's no shame in being ranked No. 60, this is a noticeable drop for James. It's unclear what exactly led to this massive change.

247Sports' Composite rankings, meanwhile, has James listed as the No. 47 overall recruit and No. 7 shooting guard in the 2023 class.

Despite this drop in the rankings, the goal remains the same for James. He wants to follow in his father's footsteps and make the NBA.

I get it isn't good business to jerk around your superstar but he was the clear center piece to this whole thing. So if he'd like trade Brooklyn would be wise to try and make it work but they would have to ask for premium return.

Jesus would go MIA or in the witness protection program if Irving came looking for help.
He would put Kyrie in the spin cycle.

I wonder if trading Kyrie for Westbrook, then buying Westbrook out would allow them to keep KD and give them cap room to add another shooter to him and Simmons

Why would the Nets do all that?

Wouldn't it be easier to let Kyrie walk and save themselves the 40 mil it would take to buy Westbrook out?

No. They’re way over the cap and are a huge taxpayer
There are so many easier ways to cut costs and gain assets.

This is not a fit for Kyrie....

But, look at Portland.

I don't know how much cap space they have.

But, they have Bledsoe's 20 mil contract that is only guaranteed for 4 mil.

Any team just looking to dump salary should start with a deal like that not the pennies Westbrook would be willing to give back.

But, that still won't help the Nets because like you said, they are way over.

They are gonna have to do what the Dubs did.

Get a placeholder salary, like they did with D'Lo, until they can trade for a guy that fits, like they did with Wiggins.

Or, trade everyone and clear the books.
