To be honest while the Warriors wouldn't have a problem with him coming back, they wouldn't do what it would take to get him (trade away all their young assets and pay even more luxury tax). And they wouldn't break up the big 3 either. So not happening.
Exactly… everything I read about Lacob would tell me they would never give up what they would have to for a short term run. He’s seeing a nice, long run of competitive basketball.

I get it, but I disagree

When you lose Steph it’s gonna be a fall off unless someone else becomes that alpha scorer

But banners hang forever

Steph is under contract for 4 more years. He's clearly able to play at a high level still and should for most of that contract. He's 34 not LeBron age. The hope is yes by 3-4 years from now another #1 or #1b type emerges. Kuminga? Poole?

I think, on the current roster, it has to be kuminga

Steph isn’t the athlete bron is, so he has a risk to fall off faster

Plus KD is signed to that exact frame timeline.

To me you just roll it in for that timeline and you worry about the post curry life…post curry

Well that doesn't sound like a positive development

One of my most favorite classes in College was Psych.

The most fascinating thing I learned was ....If you look closely at some of the symptoms of being in love, you'd be surprised how many of them meet the accepted diagnostic criteria for mental illness.

This mofo is clearly cray-cray.

He's head over heels in love with Kyrie....lol

Only explanation for this flagrant fuckery.

Yep...it's comedic how their tryst has become soap opera like...and it's unnecessary too.
Don't get me wrong...they're both top notch players no doubt, and 2 of the absolute best in their profession...but the baggage and drama that comes with them is counterproductive to the concept of team. A perpetual migraine for most coaches & GM's.
Ironically...the longer they stay together, imho..the longer it'll take for either of them to win another ring.
Sad to say but, they deserve one another at this point. That said...I do wish them well..except when they play the Knicks or Dubs. LOL.

"did not do enough to understand Kyrie."

Nobody understands that flat earth looney. 3 teams don’t understand him.

Still though.

Nets should have known what they had when they signed him. Kyrie has always been this guy.

Trying to force the issue to deal away arguably the best player in the league’s BFF is just plain stupid.

Absolutely and I guarantee at the time the both of us said the same thing, the Nets better know what they are getting themselves into, apparently they didn’t.

Ultimately we'd be talking slightly different minus a few injuries the year prior. Them the breaks I guess.

It made them a top contender immediately. It wasn't completely crazy. And kyrie did go defcon 7 after covid.

Most of Steph's game seems like the kind that ages fairly well. His game is based on quickness, not speed, skill, not athleticism and he can shoot like we haven't seen before. Unless his body starts falling apart, he should be able to still play at a high level when he's Lebron's age.

Yeah. Idk what else KD wanted them to do

Uh….

It is pretty clear.

He and Kyrie signed as a package deal. KD does not sign in Brooklyn without Kyrie. In fact, signing there was Kyrie’s idea. There is even video footage from the all star game with Kyrie talking to KD about “2 max spots”.

If you want to keep KD, you have to also keep the reason he signed with you in the first place.

lol

Nets...do you really want to end up trading Kyrie for Westbrook.

Because this is how you end up trading Kyrie for Westbrook.

And then trade Kevin Durant for Tyler Herro, some salary filler and a few first round picks right after.

Looks like the blueprint they are working from.

I think most of us had some question about how this would work out, but thought that maybe KD could help keep him sane. Turns out, he's a bit of an enabler.
