People can attempt to make that statement by claiming Durant went mercenary.

But, almost all of your main Championship pieces this year were drafted.

The rest were castoffs that you rehabilitated.

Some mock @HurricaneDij39 with this phrase..

But, you are built, not bought.

See that's the thing, the late 90s Yankees had a lot of homegrown talent too: Jeter, Williams, Posada, Rivera, Pettite, etc And then they spent like crazy

But yeah the Ws aren't bringing in big FAs outside of KD. It's all drafts and trades.

I was honestly thinking 3 yrs 27M recently. It would be nearly the same type of money Alex Caruso got from the Bulls. I think that's his market.

But yeah, the payroll is going to skyrocket soon. Lacob has said they're willing to spend and with the revenue Chase has brought in the past year everything backs that statement up. But we'll have to see what kind of deals are lined up for Wiggins and Poole.

Yeah, it's crazy but they brought in $700 million this past year so even spending $400 mil they make a big profit, and of course the franchise has gone up 10x in value since they bought it just 12 years ago.

I think they're gonna just go nuts with it, re-sign Payton and Looney and extend Poole and Wiggins LOL

Feels like Porter won't be back but they need minutes for everyone so not a big deal

Look, if the Clippers don't make the Finals, at minimum, Ballmer is insane to not look at reshuffling the deck.

I'm not advocating for being wasteful.

Just don't be cheap like Jordan and Sarver.

But, the Dubs have won 4X in 8 years.

That has to be worth every penny.

As I said before I’d be tempted to turn poole into pick 4 (kings would suppsoedly do it) and just use the mle on a guy to replace pooles role.

Especially with moody ready to take another step.
