Yeah. I mean probably some of the highest upside left

But yeah fit wise to the current roster is rough.

Ideally he’s playing 2 years from now and shooting 35% from 3.

That’s a playable asset
I watched clips and sometime you see a kids college clips and say to yourself, " Yep nice college game not sure it will hold up at the pro level" that's the vibe I got.

Can't tell how tall he is with his retarded hair.

Looks smaller.

He's a turnover machine.

...which you'd think would be something they'd avoid after the finals.

But, he is really athletic.

At least he stands out from the rest of the draft class. An awful lot of this class looked like clones lol.

I can 100% see that perspective

He’s wild

He can’t shoot

I don’t think his handle is as tight as he thinks it is

He’s a guy who could use more reps

But he is one of the most athletic guys in the entire draft

Basically Brad must be thinking, if this kid went back to Bama he would’ve gone much higher next year

But yeah this profile is big risk big reward, but normally just a throwaway pick m

But Brad has done well so far, gotta give him the benefit of the doubt I guess

One thing we do know:

The Celtics did better in the Adam Sandler movie than the actual draft

Yeah it's not fair of me to write him off and that's not what I am implying. There are a lot of times when team in every pro sport take a project kid and as you pointed out super athletic. maybe there is hope.

Yeah. It’s a super athletic dart throw

The Celtics are in a position where they don't need a whole lot. So they can afford to take on a kid who is athletic and raw to see if they can develop him.

Best case, he turns into a player that the Celtics can use or move for other assets. Worst case, he's out of the league in a couple of years and didn't really cost you anything.

Pound for pound, probably the most athletic.

If jovic pans out then he is the perfect stretch 4 to play with Bam in 2-3 years
Never know that late but I would not have minded at all if Cavs traded back into round 1 with him as the target. Nice pick I think.

Davisons freshman year isn’t wildly off from Ivey’s

Not saying he’ll make that leap.

But my guess is that’s what the Celtics are seeing

Ivey is a rare rare case though, not the norm

IDK. I think Shareef and Pippen Jr. could be the starters in a year or two with some seasoning. I bet both of them can hit a 15-foot bank shot off the backboard and play defense without getting confused!!

One can hope. Summer League should answer some of the questions...

I'll be surprised if either ends up starting. I think the ceiling for each is probably rotational player. They'd each have to make pretty big leaps to reach starter status.

Shareef did have that heart issue that stunted his development. So we'll see if he can overcome that.

I probably would’ve gone Eason or griffin.

But I also don’t have access to griffins medicals

At least you aren’t Charlotte

The 1st round pick....not really surprising.

I did want Eason but he was a project, he would basically be a bigger Okoro on the floor.
I didn't know about Griffin's medical records and all that...so I understand that.
Dieng was gone-their 1st target from rumors.
I didn't want Branham. Another LeVert imo

They got the best 3-and-D player available and he can be a role player this season. Other guys were projects. I don't mind it, can't expect anything crazy at #14.

Well, TJF12. I am thinking along the lines of having two NBA greats as fathers chirping in their respective son's ears to get after it. If it becomes an old man Ball situation where all three of his sons tuned-him-out and ran away from him, then you may be right. But if it is the NBA Greats Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O'Neal gentle persuasions with space, we may see them starting in say 1-3 years. Both of them are worth that investment.
