I don't think it's a complete coincidence that on Laughton's first night back from injury, we finally get a win. This dude plays well in every aspect of the game and in every zone of the ice. Like Torts said, he's basically just a solid pro that is a fine example to all of the youngsters. That said, we played well around Hart and really supported each other better for most of the game.

It was the first whole game I’ve watched since the Blues game. I know, not a very good fan.

It did look like the grind games from the start of the year, and yeah I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Laughton was also back in the lineup.

Last weekend was the best Boilermaker weekend that I can remember. Everything that had to happen did for football to make the BIG Ten championship game. we’re gonna get creamed by Michigan, but at least they’re in for the first time !

Basketball shocked everyone by beating West Virginia, Gonzaga and Duke over a 4 day period at a tournament. Went from #24 to #5. So the boiler nation is living it up until Saturday.

I could agree with that. I was hoping to get rid of either Prov or Deangelo or Sanheim at the deadline as they have some value and we get rid of salary from our defense. We have York and Zamula ready to step in for Braun and one of the three D that should go.

Bottom line is we just don't have the talent to compete with those teams. Hart is really the only reason a lot of games have been close. Like I said, there will be money to spend this off season, I just don't want WTFC spending it!

I agree we dont have the talent to compete with top teams but to not move your feet and just watch them control all three zones while watching is unacceptable. I dont mind losing but to lose and not show any hustle pisses me off.

I think the attitude was, "Hey, Koneckny, and Laughton are back! We're good! Yea standing around for 3 periods waiting for something to happen isn't a sound game plan.
