The evidence presented by Red Bull was not "discovered" but "created".

Really wondering what exactly that means.
Man.

What part of racing incident don't they get?

And if Max had done that to Lewie?

Please, they'd be laughing all the way to the trophy ceremony.

I really do want Max to win the title but their holier than thou bullshit has got to stop.

Thankfully it wasn't as horrible a result for Max as it could have been.

While I know Netflix's series has been a cash cow for F1 and is bringing new fans in, this pushing and creating drama thing is getting to be too much. Case in point:

Now I know why Mazepin doesnt lose his job.

Ahead of the 2021 season, the team signed two rookies in Ferrari-backed Mick Schumacher and well-funded Nikita Mazepin (Dmitry's son) to replace veterans Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen. In came a new livery whose color scheme that prompted comparisons with the flag of Russia, Mazepin’s home country, with his father’s Uralkali company providing title sponsorship.

Wolff: Mercedes has decided between Russell and Bottas for 2022

would be shocked if it isn’t George at this point.
He totally outperformed Valterri in a far inferior car. Finished on the podium when Valterri didn't even finish in the points :thumb:

The delay is rumored to be that they are trying to find Valterri a landing spot before the announcement. He is in line for the Alfa seat iif/when Kimi announces retirement. But you're right. I don't see any way that it isn't George. And I think the biggest indication is the fact that Red Bull gave Perez another year. If George was available, you have to think RBR would have snapped him up. If for no other reason than to keep him from their rivals.

Yea I agree on Russell or Bottas. It'll be Russell after that performance in Belgium to be Hamilton's 2022 teammate.

Some Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey journalist has said, Bottas goes to Alfa Romeo, Russell goes to MB and Kimi goes golfing.

Then Albon to Williams.

I’ve seen the same a couple of places and wouldn’t hate it at all.

I think Albon would be a pretty strong fit at Williams. A young, cheap, semi-proven commodity with big team experience is exactly what they need.

With Max, Lando at MCL, Charles at Ferrri...Mercedes also needs to consider they don’t have that young gun to build around that everyone else has. Considering the competitiveness of the RB car, A team of George and Lewis gets them back to a stronger team than Max and Checo (who I think as a group are better than Lewis and Valtteri).

in all, there really is no point in belaboring the move. George has to be in the Merc next season. Sounds like the announcement will come around Italy

Well KR officially announced his leaving today.

One domino has tumbled.

Yeah, I think the only question left is does Williams go with Albon or DeVries. All depends on how much influence Toto has over the situation. Toto's definitely not gonna want someone so closely aligned to Red Bull sitting in those debriefs about the Merc engine performance.

There are also some rumblings that Alfa Romeo are going to Mercedes engines as part of the Bottas deal.

I enjoyed the race so much more than all the practices and qualifying.

Pretty neat to see them all going around at race speed.

Cramped in some spots and windy, up and down.

And no disasters!

Officially Official.

Bottas gets a deal to replace Kimi at Alfa Romeo so barring Giovinazzi not being renewed that leaves one Williams seat open for Albon, Hulkenberg and DeVries. And Toto REALLY doesn't want Albon there.

Kinda wonder if Ferrari tries to get Mick out of the Haas dumpster fire and into Alfa.

Yep, the pieces are set for 2022 as Russell takes Bottas' seat at Petronas and the Mercs. Bottas moves over to Alfa and voila more and hopefully better competition.

Classic Bottas luck that the move was made for next year and not this year. I’m not the biggest VB fan, but he’s a seemingly better driver than the Alfa seat. Tons of options were there last season, which may have completely shaken up the driver roster. Would have made for some serious drama

A touch of American Racing encroaching into F-1? Banked curves. What a concept and F-1 is adding it to several other tracks on the F-1 Series.
