Mazepin, Schumacer, and Latifi all 3 do not belong in F1.

Russell is a ****.

So the Haas drivers again find it hard to stay on track in portugal. (in practice 3)
Now I already know they are rookies & probably not ready to be here, but I am starting to wonder if some of this is just a horrible car Haas has?
Or is this really all driver fuck ups?

probably a little of both, except MazeSPIN. He doesn't belong.

I'll cut Mick a little slack... for now.

Mick got moved forward a bit too fast, I'd bet. He's got talent but if his name was anything but Schumacher he'd be a reserve driver and get to learn how to handle the car in private. He'll get there, but he's gonna look bad for a bit.

Mazepin is flat out dangerous out there. Like "makes Pastor Maldonado look good" levels of dangerous. I can't imagine the fallout if he took out Perez from the lead today.

I know Bottas gets the results expected, but he is racing for the top team in F1.
Do any of you think he could get replaced by Russell next year?
He clearly doesnt like being the #2 guy at Mercedes. Or do you think he is the top driver to be the #2 guy to hamilton?

Not a lot of conflict with Bottas although he didn't seem overly eager to let Lewis by today.

I'd go get Norris over Russell.

Reason I brought up Russell is because he is a sub team for mercedes so to speak & has already subbed for Hamilton & out drove Bottas in that race.
Norris does seem pretty fast in the car he drives, but isnt he connected to that team personally? Cant remember but seems like there was something when I watched the netflix show on F1.

Russell is MB "property". Toto Wolff manages him.

Hamilton was McLaren property.

I think Norris is racier than Russell and I'd be targeting him. He's also smaller making seat sizing easier.

It was beautiful.
impressive to say the least.

Yeah.

And I really do think that Lewie & Merc are almost bulletproof. Like 99% bulletproof.

I think, also, Max & Merc wouldn't be bulletproof.

I think Lewie & RBR would almost be bulletproof as well but not the the extent that LH&MB are now.

In other words, Lewie really is a much better driver than Max. Given the same equipment I still think Lewie wins 9/10.

Lewis is really smart. Done enough to notice stuff.

MB is very smart.

RB is sneaky cagey.

Max is aggressive. Lots of natural skills.

Interesting dynamics.

These days nobody can win in a shit car aside from luck.

So I caught something (missed the actual conversation) of a 107% rule on speed?
Can one of you experts explain that to me?

The 107% rule is a sporting regulation affecting Formula One racing qualifying sessions. During the first phase of qualifying, if the circuit is dry, any driver who is eliminated in the first qualifying session and fails to set a lap within 107 percent of the fastest time in that session will not be allowed to start the race without permission from the race stewards. For example, if the fastest Q1 lap time was 60 seconds, each driver who is eliminated in the session must complete at least one lap within 64.2 seconds to guarantee a race start. The 107% rule was introduced for the 1996 season and remained in force until 2002. It was reintroduced for the 2011 season with minor modifications due to the knock-out qualifying format.

That help?

They say that LeClerc's transmission is fine but I am still a little skeptical and keeping my fingers crossed.

That type of accident is aggravating and doesn't bode well for the race IMHO.

For me when I think of previous winners I don't recall that kind of goof, or loss of focus, so I have serious doubts as to whether he is mentally ready to win at Monaco.

Hopefully Sainz will find his way up to the front of the pack as well.
