Was looking at rotoworld and saw this:

Cameron Heyward DL, Pittsburgh Steelers

The Athletic's Ed Bouchette contract-year DE Cameron Heyward could be part of a Steelers free agent exodus next offseason because of 2021's projected lower salary cap.
Heyward is due $9.5 million in the final year of his contract. As Bouchette notes, in normal times, Heyward probably would have already been extended as a means of reducing his 2020 cap number. These are not normal times, though, something GM Kevin Colbert alluded to this week. “The league has set in place a $175 million floor,’’ Colbert said of 2021. “So we know that’s the lowest it can go. Where it goes from there nobody knows because no one can predict their revenues at this point. None of us." Bud Dupree, James Conner, Ali Villanueva, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Matt Feiler, Mike Hilton and Zach Banner are amongst the other Steelers headed into the final year of their deals. Although Bouchette is correct that the cap downturn could create an exodus, it's also true that all 32 teams will be in the same boat. Veteran bargains will be a common theme next spring.

Going be a lot of movement next year due to the lower cap. Another article about effects of a lower cap.

Agent's Take: Consequences of a lower 2021 salary cap, including the three teams who'll be hurt most

Teams with the biggest 2021 salary cap problems
The three teams likely to be affected the most by the lower 2021 salary cap are the Eagles, Falcons, and Saints. Each team has well over $200 million in 2021 salary cap commitments when using offseason cap accounting rules, where only the top 51 cap numbers matter.

Not surprised to see the Eagles mentioned as most affected, they been kicking the can down the road for a while.

If a pandemic didn't hit and completely screw the league wide cap situation they would have. Now they will likely have to make some cuts of some sort.

Key word. I know Dallas isn't mentioned in the OP, but they will have to get lots of cap saving deals done.

yeah... I honestly haven’t bothered to look up what all these opt outs, Covid, etc has done to the cap situation.

But where will all of these FAs go? If the cap goes that low, the last few months may be indicative of the FA market for the next year or so. May see a lot of team friendly deals and guys pushing to get tagged or play out their existing contracts and put off their UFA for another year.

That is going to be tough for a lot of teams to comply with & even worse, rough on players needing new contracts. Nobody is going to want to take a pay cut just to play.

I think we are going to see a lot of 1-yr deals next offseason. Or a lot of back-loaded deals. Teams just won’t be able to afford jack shit in guarantees up front. Tough year to be a FA.

I guess Clowney will be sitting out another year cause no way any team will pony up what he's looking for with the cap dropping

A visit to Over The Cap will give you an idea what you are up against.

Let me give you a hint:

If you cut Carson Wentz, Lane Johnson, and Desean Jackson, you will still be over the cap.

Should take another 35 years to rebuild!

Pittsburgh can make the cuts without too much pain.

Won't have to if Rothlisberger retires but even then, you have guys with a high cap and no guaranteed money.....

some arent vital, but like all teams, theres way more than the big names... Its why elite D's only last a 1-3 years....big names get paid, and the middle guys-that make all the difference in the world move on......

cam has gotten way better with age. Now hes on the downside of a career..........but hes gonna get paid. His leadership cant be matched.
