Projection: Will be groomed as part of the nickel rotation with Molden finishing his career at Washington.
No way Petersen would have gotten his ass kicked in recruiting like this.Frustrating to see USC and Oregon killing it in recruiting (and nabbing UW targets) while we're having one of the worst classes we've had in years.
I suppose we just have to cross our fingers that the guys we're going after are diamonds in the rough.
Sad to see one of the best classes in Washington state history mostly look at other programs. I have to wonder if it's because we're coming off a down season, if it's because Petersen left, if the coaching staff is just failing to recruit well or if it's just because the allure and/or "benefit$" of Oregon, USC, Ohio State, etc. outweigh the appeal of UW.
USC and Oregon loaded up way early this year. Petersen would frustrate the hell out me as we always felt like we were behind entering summer, but would start reeling in the targets in Aug and in the fall it would really come together. No way Petersen would have gotten his ass kicked in recruiting like this.
I just pray we aren't looking at Ty Willingham 2.0USC and Oregon loaded up way early this year. Petersen would frustrate the hell out me as we always felt like we were behind entering summer, but would start reeling in the targets in Aug and in the fall it would really come together.
As for Oregon, they're putting the Rose Bowl win to great use. But they always pressure kids to commit early to build hype, and always lose around 3-5 via decommits in late fall to early LOI because of that. Will that happen this year? We'll see.
It's a messed up year for everyone, but I'm extremely frustrated as well with recruiting right now. But we'll see where were at come start of the season.
Ty was a complete fraud. Lake isn't.I just pray we aren't looking at Ty Willingham 2.0

We go into this season with a ridiculous level of talent. Yes, we're gonna have a new QB, but all the pieces are there for an amazing season. 9 wins at least or this season is a bust. 10 or 11 would be outstanding and considering the talent on this roster, it's not unrealistic. We start wracking up the Ws and plenty of our top targets will make the call.I feel the down season and the uncertainty of the coaching staff has a lot to do with our poor recruiting. Pressure is on Lake to have a big season to get things back on track.
