He's not a power forward though. He's a pass first point guard.
cmon now.

in that case hes prob. not even a top half "point guard".

big men that can pass- like Giannis, Jokic, Siakam, Randle, Simmons, Zion, Bam, Sabonis are all better all around players.

Draymond does not suck (at least not yet) but he is consistently declining. He will never again be an all star, or even a likely all star candidate.

he is solid- but hes just not a difference maker anymore. If you really call him a point guard--- hes pretty far down the list. Is Curry not a point guard then?

point guards? Lillard, Curry, Kyrie (or Harden), Doncic, Paul, Kemba, Westbrook, Holliday, Fox, Holliday, Butler (7plus assists), SGA, Murray, Morant Lavine.....are actual point guards.

I mean- what do you think Draymond is? I know you dont think he is near an all star caliber player anymore. Hes solid- but hardly special.

How many "point guards" score 6.6 points a game and cant shoot?

this isnt 1983

He's kind of sui generis. Those PGs can't do what he does.

On offense, he's a pass first PG who runs the show, gets boards, and occasionally makes a shot. On offense he's Rodman, with assists instead of boards (and far more boards than Rodman had assists), neither is expected to score much.

On defense he's a power forward who runs the show , who can guard 3-5 pretty well.

He's not a player you can drop into a category and say 'he's 5th best whatever'. True students of the game know his value.

at this point Julius Randle wipes his ass with Dray. Sabonis, Siakam, etc.....

hes no longer even on that level.

hes what? 3rd 4th tier at this point?

like i said- no one is ever going to confuse him for an all star ever again.

You know what’s kinda funny, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Lakers actually won tonight. Play like horse shit all month, beat a great team to give us a glimmer of home, only to probably lose to Houston or something in the next few weeks

Nailed it

No matter how you describe him, he is offensively a negative value player at this point. Which is one of the reasons why the Warriors are a bottom 7 team on offense despite the heroics of Steph Curry.

That's not really one of the reasons. Did Rodman's lack of scoring make him a negative offensive player?

And we beat Denver.....LOL.

Good win for the Lakers. Much needed. Their schedule to close out the season is pretty brutal. Clips, Blazers, Suns, and Knicks for the next 4. 3 back to backs in their last 7 games. 2 of those back to backs are road to road games. Yuck.

Thunder now have the 4th worst record, the battle to suck is on for the rest of the season.

That's not really one of the reasons.

Well how could I possibly rebut that logic?

Negative OBPM. .7 OWS. A 31% turnover rate despite a usage rate of only 13.

He is, at this point in his career, a terrible shooter.
