Lol, cmon man,

other than breakin tibia or fibula which was a rare occurrence, we drank milk back then, lol... most broken bones were ankle, wrist , fingers . 4-6 weeks ....

pulled hammy , you got 2 weeks , dam oblique, same which is an f Ed up injury, esp for baseball

You aren't only missing 4 weeks for a broken ankle. Definitely not 4 weeks for a wrist for a baseball player

4 weeks in cast, 2 weeks get yourself back in shape, that the way it was for us... drs back then? knew athletes recovered much quicker , obviously not the right thing to do , but that’s the way it was...

lots of us players played with broken bones , never went to dr. Taped it up! Now we’re payin the price with bone deformities and arthritis...

Only 1 hard game left. My guess is they get the top seed
Tonight will be more challenging than it needed to be because they didn’t take care of business with the 2nd unit and they let the Spurs hang around and they ended up needing OT to win. I also think @Pacers and @Heat will be tough. Not a great road team plus those teams are likely to need games for seeding.

The Knicks usually slip up against teams there suppose to beat. So I’m happily surprised they beat the rockets last night. Now it’s onto Memphis which may be a little harder to come away with a win. They need to play every game from hear on out like it’s a playoff game to improve to seeding for the playoffs

I will be very surprised if the Sixers don't wind up with the top seed at this point. The Nets still have the Bucks, Dallas and the Nuggets to play as well as 2 back to backs. They will almost certainly 2 or 3 more games.

Hard to see the Sixers losing 3 of their remaining 8 games given they have Chicago, Houston, Detroit and Orlando twice.

And the Bucks are 3 games back as it is so it is hard to see them catching the Sixers either.

Well they aren't going to get higher than 4th where they stand right now. They do want to hold on to the 4th seed though so they can get a home series. As it stands it would be the Hawks but I suspect the Heat will wind up taking that sport.

Lebron joins the chorus of whiners about the play-in game.

We’re talking a Different time, we’re talking about a time when you had to be back the field to play or you lost your position.

we’re not talking about today’s player where recovery for an hang nail is 4 weeks.

if you’re asking me now, do I feel a break only takes 4 to 6 weeks to heel , of course I would say of course not. Back then, that’s how we were treated.

For those familiar I'd present Jaylen Waddle. He tried going after about 10 weeks and all he could do is run straight. He was limping badly.

I still think he's the best basketball I've ever watched play but this is definitely a pretty bad look.
He has had a couple extremely bad looks in the last couple weeks.

Wilt Chamberlain once averaged over 48 minutes a game in a season. You think he would be doing that today?

Old Hoss Radburn once pitch 678 innings. You think he would be doing that today?

This notion that modern athletes are pussies is just ridiculous. Modern pro sports is played a vastly higher level than it was played 20,30, or 50 years ago. This is why pitchers are pitching fewer and fewer innings but more and more pitchers are routinely throwing the ball 100+ mph.
