I don't like him either, and I agree with you with the way he plays the game - I can't stand it. To me Harden is the type of guy you would love to have on your team but can't stand when he's your opponent.

But you just blamed him on being a terrible teammate and are saying OKC wanted to get rid of him. In this case you should be hating on the Thunder not Harden.
Exactly...I could see not liking his game but the logic here was kind of all over the place.

I just brought that up bevause OKC was being called cheap, you got in on the end of the convo.
they probably were cheap. seems more reasonable than saying they shipped him because he's an ass....then saying it had nothing to do with what he did in OKC.

You said he was a piece of shit and horrible teammate in OKC with not a single piece of evidence to backup your claim
Then later said it had nothing to do with his time in OKC (which was the only place he had spent time to that point) :noidea:

They most certainly could have if the thunder wanted to keep him around, which was my point.
and you could be right......but you also said maybe now they'd have done things differently knowing what they know. would his deal have taken them to the tax, meaning it wouldn't just cost them $5-7 mil?

Yeah, that makes that @thunderc says seem a little more likely. Hard to imagine OKC not ponying up an extra 3-5 million (or even an extra 2 million like you suggest) if they really wanted him to stay. Also hard to imagine Harden not coming down a little on his demand if he really wanted to stay.

Seems like they didn't want him and he wanted out.
agree....unless that $5 mil eventually becomes a lot more as they get into the tax which could have happened then or maybe down the road as they need to pay others?

What I meant was that now knowing they didn’t win a title they might approach it differently

What's going on here? Read a few comments. Do I got this right, you're saying Harden was a bad teammate in OKC?
No, I’m saying there were enough warning signs that the Thunder sent him packing instead of paying just a little more. It’s simply unquestionable though that he developed into a horrible teammate.

Thanks for the answer. I agree with what you're saying. Heard things about Harden being a pain in the ass for a couple years. So I typed in was James harden a bad teammate in Houston. Multiple things popped up. Didn't read any of them.

-James Harden, Rockets teammates clash in practice: source (from the athletic)

-Stephen Jackson calls out James Harden for being a bad teammate (from something called the source)

-for Rockets players, tension with James Harden had been building (from houston chronicle)

I don’t have to have shit, you do what you want
do you have to have it? Of course not....you can make any baseless comment you want and not back it with anything.

Well, health wise you probably do have to have shit. Ya don't want to clog yourself up too long.

Interesting...as you also said it had nothing to do with his time in OKC.

Can you make up your mind where you stand here?

The good thing for OKC is by not committing money to Harden they were able to overpay Melo and Steven Adams.

I mean, i never liked the guy either. but let's be real, the guy's a great player (style notwithstanding :D)...

Rumor has it Harden's strip club game is stronger than his play on the court. Doesn't he have his jersey retired at a Houston jiggly room (shoutout to Al Bundy!)?

Certainly I am aware Kyrie is a nut and probably not a great guy to have in the locker room....but I can sure appreciate what he did to help us win a title I never thought I'd see.
