With AD and James out...they need him to start.
agree...but get ready for a number of 2-3 foot bricks with 2-3 guys draped all over him. And, sure, an occasional 20-20 game (maybe 30-20 before Lebron/AD return).

Some non-Drummond buyout news.

Gorgui Dieng signed with the Spurs

OKC bought out Austin Rivers. Bucks are reported to be his #1 team

Drummond will be fine. Its different when you play on a contender and not a bunch of young kids

Which Cavs fan(s) were saying that? Was it a certain individual that had his nose all up in LeBron's ass for years?

We have spent a lot of time lamenting his offense but there was point early in the season Dre was top 5 in steals, boards, and blocks. Effort is his issue on D and perhaps playing for a title will make that more consistent. I doubt lebron will stand for the dude ball hogging on O but they may actually need that for the moment. As painful as it is sometimes.

All comes down to whether KD can get healthy or not. If he does I don’t see them losing. Harden speaking up this week telling everyone he is the mvp is nothing but a positive for the rest of the league though.

I think a healthy Lakers beats them. They have the defense to do it. I think the Sixers can take them out too. Maaaaybe the Heat if Aldridge has anything left. Especially if Jimmy and Bam are rolling, that team just plays mean when that happens.

Yeah, some maybe. Others like myself couldn't wait to see him go after I saw Allen play.

Might have been him. But, hell, was a time I liked the guy. Never questioned he had talent. Just got tired of watching him shoot bricks with 2-3 guys draped all over him.

Not saying Lakers shouldn't have signed him and clearly said as much. Low risk, high reward move.

Never been on a contender so we'll see. Sometimes guys are who they are.

Youve been watching the absolute worst version of him offensively (minus the fact hes actually able to make free throws) so i have to think he was pressing to get dealt or get a deal.

His best bet is accepting his role within LA and showcase being a good number 3/4 on a good team

I wish i could go back and figure out how a guy who had a 63 percent efg became a guy who had a 53 percent efg.

If only the 63 guy could make a fucking free throw

Yeah, if he accepts that he's there to rebound and play defense, not to score, he should be fine. There will be few, if any, plays run for him. Any points he gets are likely to be putbacks or someone dumping the ball to him on a drive to the hoop....if he accepts that, he could get a ring. If not, he's easy enough to move on from.

Not a big fan of the signing, hopefully I'm wrong.

They say that "money doesn't change you, it reveals who you really are".

The same could probably be said for going from a team that is losing to a contender. So we may be about to see who he really is.

hopefully he can put up at least 15ppg and 10rpg until they return.
If they want that from him they'll get it. Meaning, if they play him enough minutes. No doubt he'll take enough shots.

Totally agree...though I would like the signing if I were you. worse case you bench him and no worse off than you were which was strong title contender (or favorite) when healthy.
