Wow @bksballer89 you're right something just missing this year. At least it looks that way tonight. Is Bam as good as last year? Butler?

Yeah those 2 are fine. Both are better than they were in the regular season last year. It is the others and not having Dragic for most of the season isn't help because Nunn and Herro are not point guards

MJ had a lot of low FG% nights and still put up big points. Difference is that MJ got a lot of FT's, while Curry makes 3's.

Kobe too.

Curry did get 25 points to go with all the assists which MJ and Kobe would not have

Thank god the East is trash but this team need to make moves fast.

They failed Jimmy and Bam by not doing anything in the offseason. All the good names I heard didn't come to Miami.

Milsap, Wes Matthews, and Gallo were all mentioned.....all 3 are 1000X better than Moe Harmless who is so bad that he lasted maybe 5 games or so in the Heat rotation. Such a failure

Terrible argument. They made the necessary roster upgrades in the offseason

About half of the guys in their rotation now wasn't on the team last year so yeah bringing up last year isn't relevant

Nuggets aren't close to better than this team. Portland healthy wipe them out in 5 or 6. Bubble Murray is gone and he ain't coming back and that's the only possible way they beat Portland

Just because you're the 4th best team in the conference doesn't mean you're not a contender to make a deep playoffs run. Portland and Phoenix can both make deep playoffs run. Just like in the East a team like Boston can make a deep run in the playoffs.
Bubble Murray hit a sick 30 footer in the final seconds to tie it up

this is so delusional.

Watson signed the deal. If he didnt have full faith that the Texans front office would be competitive- sign a shorter deal.

but of course he doesnt- he wants as much money as he can possibly get.

and Draymond is an idiot. Its not like a player is hurt or not performing that a team can just get out of a contract. You cant say- hey Blake Griffin - wed be much better without you on our payroll- we are cutting you.

My thing- and i think it makes perfect sense to any person that has a shred of intelligence- is that- if you dont want to be somewhere or long term- or if have mis givings about the front office, or if you want to keep your options open- dont sign a 5 year contract and take a bunch of bonus money and then cry 6 months later when it turns out the team that you voluntarily signed a contract with makes a bunch of bad moves/moves you dont agree with.

It is more complicated than that and you know it.

Watson’s situation isn’t about the money.

Even if it were, NFL a players don’t have freedom of movement. Texans could hold him hostage with franchise players tags etc. if he refused to sign. And, If Watson suffered a career ended injury (which is a lot more likely in the NFL) he gets cut. NFL players have to get as much guaranteed money as they can when they can.

And also, like I said, Watson’s personal situation with the team has deteriorated rapidly in the last 6 months.

And LOL at you keeping on with the act like you are of some superior intellect. You been played for a clown so many times on here.

This isn’t a cut and try 1 side is right and 1 side is wrong. This is not the 1950s where the player was expected to shut up and play. A superstar player/team relationship is like a marriage. Both sides have to work to maintain it. And if the organization fails on their end, they should expect the player to express discontent in some way. Because the star has the leverage.

Now, there is still a right way and wrong way to do this, but up to now, Watson has done nothing wrong. The Texans have done a lot wrong.

Agree completely. Asking to be traded is one thing. Pulling that other crap you pointed out in your last sentence is another. In those cases the 'entitled malcontent' label is earned.

And everyone here dogged Harden for his antics in Houston. Rightly so.

That isn’t the same as what Anthony Davis did, or what Paul George did, etc.

After the Jazz finish the Clips in a few minutes, Portland will only have one more loss than the Clippers.

Top 5 record in basketball and doing this without CJ who was having a career year and playing like a top 15 player.

My MVP ballot looks like this so far:

Lebron
Dame
Embiid
My ballot starts and stops wirh Embiid at the moment

There are 5 players with the stats right now:

LeBron
Curry
Embiid
Jokic
Lillard

LeBron and Embiid also have standings on their side.

But I agree with @bksballer89 that Lillard should be firmly ahead of Jokic and Curry. But for some reason he doesn’t seem to be.

Bucks are on a 4 game losing streak and just so happens Holiday is out. I think Holiday was a great pickup. In close games he has a major weakness...he can’t shoot. Even with the Nets not having a perfect defense but they are playing better...I would take the Sixers or Nets over the Bucks but Holiday is a BIG part of this team and he does give them a nice chance in the East. If he plays like a star in the playoffs they can win the East

Yeah, it's looking like what we all thought. He was an upgrade, but not enough of one. Imo, what they need is for Giannis to improve his game. He's still too easy to take out of the offense if a team commits to it.
