Fuck the Suns are fun to watch too. There's so many watchable players and teams right now it's awesome. And we don't have some no doubt superteam kinda ruining the suspense, there's 4-6 legit contenders.

He changes his Nets take every couple games.

I was kinda joking but if AD isn't healthy then most would agree the Nets are title favorites. Not like the Nets are the nuggets or some team that likely get bounced in round 1 or round 2. Basically on all the betting sites they're right behind the lakers as title favorites so yes AD possibly being out/not close to 100% would pretty clearly make them favorites

They are in there if they can play D. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't. There's about 5 teams that can win, Jazz Lakers Clippers Sixers Nets...maybe Bucks?

Hopefully the Celtics can figure it out. This is a weird year for them. If it's me I sell out that trade exception at the deadline.

"To watch Andre Drummond before the game sit on the sideline, go to the back, then come out in street clothes because a team is going to trade him, is bulls—t," Green said. He referenced James Harden's situation earlier this season — a star who was "dogging it," Green admitted, but was heavily criticized for being honest about wanting out of Houston — and how NBA teams face no such backlash when they signal they want to get rid of a player.

"As a player, you're the worst person in the world when you want a different situation, but a team can say they're trading you, and that man is to stay in shape, he is to stay professional, and if not, his career is on the line," Green said.

He later added, "Everyone wants to say, 'Oh man, that young guy can't figure it out,' but no one wants to say, 'The organization can't figure it out.'"

Draymond is just so blatantly ignorant here its hilarious.

First off- a team owner puts a TEAM together. They do that through drafting, signing, and trading for players. That is the NBA system. You can be traded at any time for any reason or no reason at all.

Its a total false equivalency.

If the owners lose money- there is no one that is going to bail them out. If there is a pandemic- and the owners lose millions upon millions of dollars- or if ratings go down, or a million other things- the owners lose money.

When a player signs a contract- they are GUARANTEED a certain amount of money. No matter what they do (besides very rare and serious situations) they will get their money--- whether they play on the team that signed them, are traded, are released, get injured-- they are getting their money. They are GUARANTEED that money to PLAY BASKETBALL to their best of their abilities whether that is in Portland or Cleveland or LA or Houston or Salt Lake City. Thats the system.

There is no equivalency between a team trading a player and a player requesting a trade. That is how the NBA works. An owner, and GM try and put a team together. As long as a player gives an honest effort and doesnt do anything stupid- he is going to get paid his money. If he really wants- he can negotiate a no-trade clause in his contract. The player has NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to choose his team when he is under contract.

If flexibility is what the player really cares about- sign a 1 year deal, get a no trade clause in your contract---- if its thati mportant to you - take a lesser amount of $ to get it. But if you want that guaranteed money - and want that long term contract- be ready to play up to your contact.
