My eyes will tell me when and if he is. I might be different than others but I don’t look at it so much as a body of work honestly. To me it’s about greatness and it will be tough for anyone to eclipse MJ there in my eyes. We will see though, if it happens I’ll damn sure know because I have the frame of reference.
We saw both play their whole careers too. Like I said you're entitled to whatever opinion you want. Heck you can say Shaq is GOAT. Or Russell, or Wilt or Kobe. But at some point you're just being stubborn.

I won’t say that because none of them are the goat, if they were I would say it.

Well sure, it's just opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs. But sometimes it gets perverse. There's no amount of titles he could win to change your opinion for example. Unlikely but let's say he wins 3 more to make 7...would you consider him GOAT then?
I was just thinking this....if they win this year and 2 more.....

He'd have 7 and be 7-6 in the Finals.....people were always ripping him for being sub .500 in the Finals. Not seeing the bigger picture of making it to double digit Finals.....

Sure, but that's really really unlikely. 4 in a row? Not happening.

Don't play those baby games, you know what I mean. LeBron could win 10 titles and be the obvious GOAT, but you'll still think MJ.
You are saying there is no such thing as an obvious goat then hypothesizing that Lebron could be it at some point. I’m playing games?

Not you but even Sushi was and he's pretty cool, calm and collected most of the time.

I don't remember him being that way, I think he wrote off those first two games as meaningless without Draymond and vs 2 of the best teams in the league, they were still figuring shit out.

True. Just throwing it out there.

Let's step back, what if he wins this year and another in next 3?

That's 6-7. I still think he's the GOAT, tied MJ for 6 and made it to 13 Finals....GOAT status.

He had several long (articulate though) rants.....just a week or so ago I think.

Nope, not what I was saying at all. What I was saying is that your opinion is now cemented and nothing anyone can do can change it, even if he wins 9 titles you'll still think MJ was better. But because it's an opinion, you aren't "wrong" per se. Just stubborn.

I agree with that, I already think he's co-GOAT. But it's not a scientific concept. Maybe being extra special great for 6 years is more important than being overall great for 20. There's no "wrong" answer, but there are agendas and bias and partisans not seeing everything clearly.

They were about Kerr's flaws not panicking about the team itself

Ws just beat one of the worst teams missing their only 2 good players twice at home, it doesn't tell us much and certainly doesn't mean Kerr has figured out stuff.

Indeed, on pace to win exactly 40 games 1/4 of the way through the schedule. Right about where they belong, maybe a 6 seed.

Missed this earlier.....they could use his defense and rebounding.....his scoring would clearly drop but he'd still get buckets off offensive rebounds.
They already get offensive rebounding from TT and he's no slouch on D. Drummond better when he wants to be but seems to take more plays off than TT did.

as I said, just in talent Drummond is better. Depends on fit and I don't watch them enough to know.

Funny story, Lebron missed a 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter and an unnamed Cavs executive celebrated a little bit too much for Lebron's liking.

So Lebron gives them a look and then went out and outscored the Cavs team in the 4th quarter. lol
Lebron is friends with the unnamed Exec and according to beat writers Lebron went into the visitors locker room when Cavs were in LA to see him.

This is Lebron exaggerating again and creating a narrative for himself IMO to get worked up. Lebron's actually pretty good and has been known to go off in the 4th qtr.

I have no agenda or bias. At this point I think we can agree we have seen Lebrons best. It does not match up to MJs best in my opinion. If at some point that changes I will know it. If career achievements were all that matters we would see Russels name mentioned more right?

My bad....
mine too as I replied before seeing you got the answer why. I actually had forgotten only half the schedule was released until I looked at cavs' schedule to see why they don't play 2X.
