I think Rose would be nice off the bench as a scorer and PG with the 2nd unit.

And when he plays with the 1st unit......James is the de facto PG.

But you get worse if you give up 2 rotation guys who fit with your best player for 1 who is a strict backup.

THT is looking like a real player, that's why I'd be willing to part with Caruso and Matthews who are on expiring deals.

Not sure. I’m not saying Richardson is some slapdick but it was vital for the Sixers to get a sharpshooter since Redick lost. I thought he was so underrated on Dallas too. When I initially saw the trade I didn’t get ot for Dallas but like you said, we will see how it plays out

I believe Dallas wanted perimeter defense to help Luka and thought that would offset a little less offensive efficiency in making the swap.

Caruso and Matthews are very underrated to this team and it’s very important...they don’t need the ball in their hands to be effective players. Rose is a nice player but ever since they got Dennis they don’t need Rose. Only thing they could use at the deadline is maybe another big bc if Gasol were to go down they don’t have much depth. Other than that, they are pretty set

DJ his career is basically over. Definitely as we know it. He is getting 32 minutes because the Pistons suck. They have a better chance of tanking with him starting.

Was hoping his advanced stats last year were a fluke due to limited games but he's one of the worst players in the league (bottom 10 percent) on advanced and when you consider his contract he's literally one of the worst players in the league dollar for dollar.

He's only played 8 games and his numbers.... aren't that good.

I'll wait to give him a 20 game stretch, but it's definitely helped the Sixers.

Caruso and Mathews are glue guys. The e type of quality 8th and 9th men every championship team needs.

Rose is a luxury.

It is like trading away your vegetables for a piece of pie. You might want the pie, but you need the vegetables.

You take a big hit defensively and you add a ball dominant role player for 2 guys who play off the ball and can make shots.

Unless you're the perfect fit like James and Davis or KD and Steph/Klay, these things take lots of time especially since this move took place in the middle of the season. There was no training camp to get used to
