He fits with AD and James as a center who can shoot from outside and close to the basket, can rebound, pass and defend. He could be the 3rd scorer at around 14-16ppg. The Thunder shut him down for the season to play the kids and I guess, tank.....he had several really good games for them when he was allowed to play. He's still consistent and fits in for the next 2 years with James and then we'd need to rebuild around AD.

That's not the concern; the money is. Who are you trading for $27M in salary, and how are you replacing the extra pieces that get traded away with limited cap space under the luxury tax apron?

Kuzma and Harrell or Kuzma and KCP. Plus a 2nd.

They are going to have to sign some veterans on the vet minimum deals.

Harrell would need to opt in first, and I doubt he would to go to OKC. KCP/Kuzma could be a tough sell to OKC, as their money will be on the books as long (KCP) or longer (Kuzma) than Horford, unless they really have interest in those guys. 2nd round pick isn't much of a sweetener if they don't.

It's a lot to invest in one player that would likely be the 4th or 5th option.

He'd be #3 behind James and AD....and a player who fits.....

Kuzma is a player the Thunder could use (he plays defense and scores a bit) and KCP is signed through 2022-23 and they could flip him to another team around the deadline if they choose to. A contender that wants a shooter and defender.

Not saying you are wrong, but don't recall the details. What bluff? I mean, what's he gonna do, retire?

he was supposedly willing to play the option year to get to unrestricted free agency

Something ain't right in Dallas. Rumors are that Luka was already not happy with whoever that dude is that seems to have Cuban's ear...they fire Nelson who Luka likes and has known since he was kid and now Carlisle quits.

Add that to those sexual harassment allegations awhile back and that's a lot of dysfunction.

Maybe we're seeing why top FA's don't go to the Mavs?

Gotta think Boston is gonna be Boston's top suitor. If he waits 12 hours or so, he can have the Bucks job if he wants it

If Jabari Mosley isn’t named the new coach of the Mavs by COB tomorrow then something is seriously fucked up down here.

You just disagree with everything that Lebron say because you dislike him? And actually if you go back to November, he was always against starting the season when they did
Who gives a shit what he thinks? If they shortened the season and cut his pay he would bitch about that too. He needs to go take another picture pretending to read a book. Maybe this time he will be smart enough to turn to the middle. LBJ has pictures of himself reading 100 different page 1's lol. Total fraud

Disagree completely. Until teams start playing with 5 guards, it shouldn't be possible on an all NBA team. If you want to reclassify the C as a PF/C, fine. If you aren't the best at your position that year, you shouldn't be first team.

Positions matter less than they ever have before.

If Embiid and Jokic were on the same team, do you think they would split minutes?

Of course they wouldn’t. The coach would find a way to play them together.

They were the 2 best players in the league this season. They should both be first team.

Positions aren’t even really a thing anymore.

I'd be down making it like they do all star voting.....2 guards and 3 front court players.

The problem though, is that guys get pigeonholed at whatever position they get classified.

It isn’t a real team, so it doesn’t really matter if the pieces fit or make sense. But all NBA accolades do affect a player’s contract.

So if Embiid finished 2nd in MVP voting he should be 1st team.

It would also lead to fewer snubs since you're simply choosing the 15 best instead of worrying about positions
