Oh yeah...was thinking Lebron for sure. Totally forgot they had Russ, too.I would be very surprised if he went to GS, LAL makes too much sense. He played with RW at UCLA

Love nance, but maybe thinking Mobley offers everything they can get from Nance? well, not shooting, but perhaps like Nance he can improve there. Perhaps thinking they need more shooting other than Garland and Sexton?
as mentioned to shane totally forgot about Russ being in LA. Assuming still buds would think that might clinch it if it wasn't anyway.Unless he is happy with one championship and just wants to go back home to Oregon or they offer him a shit ton of money, it's hard to see him going to the Blazers. Kawhi's knee may keep him from going to the Clips.
He would fit in great with the Warriors. With his passing, he could take a role similar to Draymond and he can hit the 3. Their passing would be even more sick.
For the Lakers, he'd be the 3 point sniper they need and could help spread the floor for Lebron, Westbrook and AD.
Only about $5 mil more than Nance was making. Might not even be that much more. If the last year of the deal is $18 mil, thinking the first year might only be $13-14 mil?Just a lot to pay for a bench player on a rebuilding team.
It feels kind of reminiscent of when the young Orlando Magic who also had floor spacing issues gave Channing Frye a 4 year contract in 2014.Just a lot to pay for a bench player on a rebuilding team.
Well Wiggy wants the Cavs to play Mobley at the 3 so.....lol.Maybe.
Even that is a bit of a gamble though.
Is he going to have the minutes/role to be featured and emerge as a strong asset on his current deal?
The 4 seems more likely with Allen at the 5, then maybe he can transition to play the 4 and 5 like AD depending on the lineup. So if Allen sits they could have Mobley at the 5 and Mark at the 4.First priority needs to be putting Mobley in the best possible position to be successful.
I don’t think that is playing the 3
Mobley is athletic enough to guard a 3 in certain situations. Pick and roll, get out to the 3 point line and back, even stay with one for a few minutes here and there...but he's not gonna be guarding them for long stretches. Especially his first couple of years when he's trying to learn how to play NBA level defense.
I’m hearing the buyout is just rumors
some people have sources who say they are talking. Some have sources who say they are not. Almost like someone's sources are lying and/or made up.I’m hearing the buyout is just rumors

All seriousness, unless he would be willing to give back a nice chunk not sure what the rush would be to dump him. See how he fits in. Hell, if the cap goes up a significant amount it's possible they can get more than the nothing they will get by dumping him if they wait until he is an expiring contract after next season.
Now if they want to just do him a solid? That's another story.
Yep...serves no purpose in letting this info get out if they are talking or not, but guessing they've at least discussed it a little. My guess would be that a buyout is on the table, but the Cavs don't want that information out there. They know they can drag their feet a bit because they know that teams will leave a roster spot for the buyout market.
As you point out, there really is no reason for them to rush anything. They can buy him out anytime. Imo, it would be smart of them drag this out because maybe someone gets desperate and offers them something for him. Letting it out that a buyout is being worked on would hurt those chances.
It will be a dream come true for LebronIf Kevin Love ends up on the Lakers...Imma be a bigger K. Love fanboy than @dtgold88.
Yeah likely to happen but it might not be as soon as people think…I mean this trade came out of nowhere. My guess would be that a buyout is on the table, but the Cavs don't want that information out there.
