Meh, he had zero pressure on him this past playoffs. As soon as they lost Kawhi, any chances at a title were gone.

He got everything run through him and as long as he didn't completely suck, no one was going to exactly be blaming him for the Clips not getting out of the West.

Don't get me wrong, he played well and deserves credit. But until he performs like that with a healthy Kawhi and pressure to win a title...the Playoff P nickname will be ironic.

So we are going to act like he wasn't playing well in the playoffs with Kawhi?

I don't get why he is so disliked.

But, I was very proud of him in that Utah series and he gave it all he had against the Suns.

The Clippers had a game every other day for almost the entire post season.

So, Dude was gassed.

That alley oop that Ayton converted with one fricking second left was the turning point for our advancement dreams.

See this is why i needed you here. Making the same points i made. Clippers played every other day for over a month then the finals begin and they wanted to hand out 2 days off 3x in that series lol

True.

He had no pressure.

Still, if for nothing more, it put his confidence at an alltime high., which is important for a guy like Paul.

Skill has never been his issue.

His problems are all between his ears.

And he isn't a #1. #2 or # 3 in certain situations

My bad.

No more year long sabbaticals....lol

Same happened to Durant at the end of that Bucks series.

George Put up 27, 9 and 5 while playing 40 mins a game, every other day.

It's not an excuse for losing. But, it is a reason.

He could have folded like a lawn chair when Kawhi went down.

But, he fought like hell.

He has my respect for that.

Yep and outside of game 1 vs Utah, he was great in games 2-4 WITH Kawhi playing as well in that utah series

So did pretty much everyone.
While playing without their best player?

The Nets went to sleep with KD playing the entire series.

Why?

Cause he was gassed.

Check out the minutes played per game this playoffs.

Off the players playing double digit games, George is at the top of the list and 2nd overall.

Next highest #2 would be Khris Middleton?

He played 2 games without Giannis.

George played 7 without Kawhi and put up 26, 9 and 5....and I rounded DOWN his numbers.

I'm proud of that guy.

Absolutely. He looked like he was losing confidence (at least in the playoffs) for at least a couple of seasons before he came to the Clips and in the bubble, it simply cratered.

If he carries that confidence into this seasons playoffs and if Kawhi can get back and in shape by the time they start, the Clippers will be very dangerous.

1. he should have never nicknamed himself Playoff P

2. instead of taking responsibility for his own bad play during the playoffs two seasons ago he blamed Doc

You haven't missed much.

We've pretty much just been discussing the cavs, it seems, for like the last 18 months...
Yeah, I have questions for that Fandom.

Why did they give the Frow 100 mil?

Who were they bidding against?

Are they now gonna pay Sexton too?

But, I love their new Rookie and I'm still high on Garland.

Oh.... @WiggyRuss @dtgold88 I was wrong about Sexton, you were right.

He's really good.

But, he's also a huge ball hog.

A under the rim, early Westbrook kinda selfish.

Yeah, I'm a realist.

It's much easier to play with no pressure.

But, what he did is not NOTHING when you take the team, and his own, history into account.

* not implying that's what you are saying *

The Clippers went out like Chumps in the bubble.

Shameful shit.

He fought back this time.

While it isn't EVERYTHING, It is an important step for his, and Clippers fans, psyche....lol

I think that was just the market for Allen, or at least what is thought to be. Apparently, quite of few teams were interested but I’m sure we are talking around $20M/year

Sexton has improved his vision his last couple years but Garland is already that guy so questions about the duo are certainly not out of the question. We will see.

What do you think about Mobley?

Yep.

He did all that.

In fairness, Doc was shit at making adjustments.

*see Ty Lue after going down 2-0 twice to win a series.

Just ask the 76ers.

George is not the only player to make ridiculous proclamations.

He earned the vitriol because he choked.

He earned my respect because he did the opposite this time when he would usually fold like a lawn chair.
