That's why I have very little sympathy for him. What the Lakers offered him was an overpayment and he turns it down because he thinks he should be even more overpaid.

Either he, his agent or both, badly missed on his value.

As i said last week, i blame his agent mostly and blame Dennis for believing in his agent so much. Lakers offered the 84 mil during the season and seems like his agent almost guaranteed Dennis that there's 100 mill contract waiting for him in the offseason

Schroeder has now walked himself into the laughable arena. The dude is now contesting an offer with the Celtics that is far below what he was offered with the Lakers to begin with and now he wants to play the Celtics. Dumbass has pretty much slammed the door, locking himself into a closet he designed. I doubt very much he'll be playing this year in the NBA no matter what the level of interest is or is not among the 32 owners.

Quite frankly - I think the Laker dodged a bullet - on him when Dennis turned down that offer - Lakers got Kendrick Nunn from the heat on a sweet deal for less. Schroeder was a good player, but not better than what the Lakers gave up to get him.

I agree TLF. The Lakers have seen enough that no matter what happens to the dumb bastard, he ain't playin' for the Lakers now or into the future.

Bet on himself and double down. If he can play great and get something in the range of 70+ million next season then don't look terrible.....now if he settles for a Reggie Jackson type deal then this is a big L

The mistake he made though is that he believes he's a starter and now has to come off the bench to redeem himself.

I don't know who has room, salary cap wise, next season for a backup PG wanting $15-20m a year

Dude.

He beat up a fan in the stands.

It doesn’t matter what the history is, a player does that today and they get the same or more.
I don't start fights or arguments of any kind - but if someone like Ron Artest comes after me - they are going to get pepper sprayed in the eyes. Quick, fast and legal. The only criteria I have to account for to the police is that I felt threatened.

Yeah 6th man is probably his best role to be honest. People put too much of an emphasis on starting. If I'm playing 30 MPG and in the closing 5, why should I care if I'm not starting?

You can’t claim defense when you started it…

Nic Collison took a position in the Thunder front office. Always a stand up guy.

I don't start fights - I said that in my post - but I do agree- In the case of Artest, He didn't actually start it, but he could have and should have walked away and gave it to security. Clearly he had anger management issues. Sometimes you get bothered by people - learn to walk away and not get involved

Just so happens I saw a deal on today again about Kobe and Artest. That’s exactly what Artest said, he got help with the anger issues and after that he really enjoyed basketball.

Remember this name, he is going to do well with the Thunder. It was reported elsewhere he got $2M a year for 4 years.

Personally I think the Lakers got a better deal with Kendrick Nunn from the Heat- two years into the game and a long future ahead of him

And Dennis doesn't? They're not even a full 2 years apart in age. Both are young still
