Now THAT makes it a damn good deal for the Suns. Not bad for him either.
The NBA is a three point game now but that isn’t always realized in everybody taking 3s. Allen can help 3 pt production by continuing the development of his post up game so that he forces the defense to account for him with a double. Then he progresses as a passer out of the post to answer the defense’s tactic. This should result in better looks for the guys on the roster to get 3s. That’s how a guy can improve a teams 3 pt game without being a knock down 3 pt shooter. They really don't need Allen to shoot 3's...Mobley will be that guy hopefully. He has a sweet stroke, that being said, Allen has improved his jumpshot. He has a mid-range shot he just needs to be more consistent.
That's a lot better than 4 fully guaranteed years.
Right and looking at the other side of it…he is a great perimeter defender/pick n roll defender at his size which is always a huge plusThe NBA is a three point game now but that isn’t always realized in everybody taking 3s. Great points......idea from some you need to be able to shoot 3s to be a modern big is totally false. Need to be able to play pick and roll defense and offense, willing passer, play D on the perimeter and not be a black hole down low and/or complain when you don't get your touches. Of course, it helps if you can make 3s.The NBA is a three point game now but that isn’t always realized in everybody taking 3s. I really don’t care either. This is a message board. Live and let live.I really don’t care.
But you are going to get yourself in trouble saying stuff like that.
Joke or not.
Trying to help you out.
Not according to Shane and BKS....LOL
If we are talking about Westbrook I’ll just say that if we are discussing the best athlete in the history of the league he has to be in the conversation. In the NBA?
Yes, 33 is getting up there.
Definitely well past athletic peak. How close a player can be peak production depends on fitness level and skill set.
James Jones baby! Now THAT makes it a damn good deal for the Suns. Not bad for him either.
Ellington won't have an issue IMO. And Melo revived his career in Portland. In the NBA?

Man talk about a guy that lost some money
I'm assuming it was for the minimum considering he could miss the entire season.
Why even bother signing him?I'm assuming it was for the minimum considering he could miss the entire season.

Why not? If he does come back he could provide something off the bench. It's a win-win...Miami has nothing to lose here, only gainWhy even bother signing him?
