I actually think it’s Dennis thinking he’s worth much more

Don't think so. These agents put things in players heads all the time.

No difference than when a player coming into a draft and they tell a player how they would be drafted in the lottery and next thing you know, they are drafted in round 2.

I just looked up his agent. Not even a part of the big known agencies. Some random who used to play on the German national team

Mills is easily the most important on that list.

I feel like Melo is a done deal. Mills is a great backup for Russ. He is a shooter that can play off ball while LeBron runs point. He can also play with Russ in small lineups.

Of all the signings the Lakers have made, this would be the best, IMO.

I was suprised by how much the Heat paid Duncan Robinson.
in some ways yes---- paying a specialist who is already 27 a contract of 90M is a lot of money--- but they used Bird Rights- and since they were way capped out they couldnt bring anyone else in to replace him.

and they are clearly going for it. At least he is really good at what he does.

Its pretty much based on Joe Harris' contract with the Nets.

Plus- after the Covid caused stagnation of the cap- the cap should go up a decent amount starting next year probably. Unless issues come up like declining ratings, issues with China, etc. which I suppose are possible.

I do have to say---

if you are going to have 2 small guards---- having 2 7 footers who are superb defensively- one of who which is basically a gigantic wing from the look of things- is a good way to support them. lol.

I am betting the Lakers average 5 more points per game next year with Westbrook pushing things. Not sure on defense though.

Jarrett Allen re-signs with Cleveland Cavaliers | $100 million over five years:

Jarrett Allen is a great rim protector, a good rebounder, an elite pick-and-roll big man for vertical spacing, and he’s starting to extend his range on his jumper. He’s also just an excellent team defender all around at the center position. Getting that type of guy for $20 million per season feels like a steal.

from The Athletic

getting him from his age 23 to age 27 seasons is great too. The contract should only look better as time goes on as he improves and the cap rises.
