The Lakers would probably offer him the TMLE which is $5.9m but still a heck of a paycut.

I don’t think he’d get $20m in free agency from anyone though, more likely between $13-16m

Clock is ticking for him however. If he’s really that serious about coming home and wanting the best chance to win a title, the Lakers are most likely his best option.

I'll have to see if I can find it. But according to an article I read, he'd be looking at around $2.7 million. Don't remember what the exact reasoning was, but I know the tax apron was part of it.

I’m not sure I like Butler and DeMar On the same team, both terrible 3 shooters but that would still be a very dangerous team reagrdless
3 point shooting isn't all that. The Lakers won without it and the Bucks were 14th out of 16 playoff teams I believe.

Found it.

According to this, he'd be looking at settling for the league minimum of $2.5 million.

They won because they were able to shoot league average from 3. If memory serves, in the games they lost in those playoffs, they struggled from 3.

Still they are similar players, Butler the much better defender. I dont necessarily like the fit but Spo could make it work. I’d be interested to see who else they would go for in that price range

Iggy doesn’t offer much anymore but he can still give some nice minutes off the bench. Still a good defender and spark at times

'That's about all they need from him. That's the case with most of the guys they're looking at. They aren't likely to be playing heavy minutes, but they will play important minutes. Guys like Iggy, might only play 13-15 minutes, but they will likely be minutes that ultimately help decide the game.

The Bucks just won without great outside shooting.

Do me a favor? If the Lakers ever offer you the GM job...turn it down.

How far do the Bucks get if not for injury luck? Do you think they get past the Nets?

Without injury luck, they're a 2nd round exit.

Yet....they still won the title.....interesting.

Yeah, because they shot league average and played great defense. What they didn't do, was shoot shitty from 3. They just picked up Westbrook who is a shitty 3 point shooter and now you want to add DeRozan who might be an even shittier 3 point shooter.

The floor spacing would be about the size of a phone booth.

Don't worry...if I ever become the Lakers GM, I'll be happy to recommend for GM jobs with the Celtics and Clippers. :D
