Yes he is from what my sources are telling me
I sincerely hope that is true and the Cavs have the choice between Suggs and Green. Id take Suggs- but Green may be the better fit and higher ceiling. I just think Suggs is a gamer and very smart.

Mobley is tempting- and hes a much better prospect than Wiseman- but I look at the NBA playoffs and its a perimeter oriented league. Big men just dont get you there. If he turns into Anthony Davis or something close? sure- but thats a hope and a dream.

every mock draft I have seen has the same 4 players in the top 4. Its pretty clear Kuminga kind of fell out of the first tier.

Id prob still take him 5--- but Scotty Barnes is really intriguing for a team that needs defense and playmaking on the wing/frontcourt. Jalen Johnson has a super high ceiling. Franz Wagner might be a reach that high- but he can shoot the lights out and make plays and would be a good fit on a lot of teams.

It was 50/50 when I was in HS. I am willing to bet that ratio is leaning more towards osu now lol

Told yall. Since they evened the odds up a couple of years ago, it's gonna happen a lot more. Which was the point. You don't really benefit much from flat out tanking.

Actually, I'd stay put. Mobley might still be there. And if he's not, Green looks like a beast. Suggs is really good as well. I'd actually be looking to trade Sexton or Garland right now.

Yeah.

Can’t trade back out of the top 4 in this class unless you get a real super haul.

4 players that could vie for #1 overall many years.

Houston’s only definite legit player is Wood. They have a couple others like Porter Jr. who have a chance to be good too.

Not sure why they would draft a big over Suggs. That would be really stupid, IMO.

Casey is still their HC...
And he should be good enough to get this lineup to the playoff which will be a nice change. Its not like Listens fans expect a ring next year, but to be in the post season would be a welcome change, and Casey has proven capable of that.

and Green kind of has a little bit of a similar skill set to Porter- (assuming porter doesnt lose his mind and do something stupid which is def. possible).

Im fine with either Suggs or Green. I think I prefer Suggs though. Green is bigger and has more potential to be physical.

I would go:

1. Cunningham
2. Suggs
3. Green
4. Mobley
5. Kuminga
6. Barnes
7. Johnson
8. Michigan kid- forget the name off the top of my head.

If they move Sexton, Suggs makes some sense. I'm not so sure you want Mobley and Jarrett Allen both in the front court. Mobley hasn't shown consistent shooting range yet, and Allen has none. If they think Mobley can develop consistency from 3 sure, but then you're pushing Nance to the 2nd team. Of course, all of this is assuming Green goes #2.

I wonder what the Cavs could get for Sexton.

I would LOVE a Garland back court with Suggs or Green. Long term that is a winning combination back court.

Okoro i think will develop into a good wing. They def. need more wings in the future. Id try and trade Sexton for a 3 and D wing- maybe. We shall see.

I don't know really any of the prospects, so I will likely be doing a deep dive shortly. I've seen a bunch of different names being floated, but this situation is very fluid.

Warriors could trade up.
Warriors could trade one of the picks back.
Warriors could try to package both for an immediate upgrade.

Not really sure which direction they're leaning, but I would hope they learn their lesson from last year and just go BPA instead of need. I was wrong on that front too preferring Wiseman over Lamelo, but I'm not paid to do this, so there's that. I still am high on Wiseman (more so than other Warrior fans on twitter) and the Warriors seem invested in him as well. They hired the coach that helped Nikola Jokic develop his game specifically to coach up Wiseman.

We'll see how this all shakes out, but I'll give my thoughts on who they should draft after I get a chance to take a look at some of the guys available.

They have a lot of options with Wiseman and the two picks. Given that their roster if healthy is a finals contender they have the luxury of keeping all 3 for salary cap flexibility down the road. I think 7 is a good spot to be. If I were them I would take Mitchell. He's ready to go.

My biggest fear about the upcoming draft if the Warriors do keep the picks is that they take "system" guys instead of dynamic players. Mitchell excels with the ball in his hands and could be really nice for the Warriors, but will Kerr give him the freedom to do so? It took so many injuries just for Kerr to play Jordan Poole finally and Poole balled out when he was given the freedom to do his thing. He was a huge reason the Warriors went on that run at the end of the year.

The firs aren’t perfect

you could take a moody at 7, hes got length and shooting but lacks star upside

more maybe you get Barnes, but he just cannot shoot right now

and there are no real stars who fit the current version of the roster.

There are guys like the two Johnsons that are boom or bust types. Didn't see enough of the Duke guy to get a good read and Johnson for the vols has a questionable jumper. I guess of the two I'd lean the Dukie. For me with the Warriors window I'd go more sure fire players with maybe a lower upside.

But it's gotta be tempting to deal one or all of the 3 and go all in.

I know the last two years have been tough but it's going to pay off for them in the long run.

Yea you got like four wing types Barnes, Kuminga, and the two Johnsons who have star upside but could just as easily be busts. Kuminga will likely be at worst serviceable I think though.

Barnes seems like a Warriors type pick. He reminds me of Iguodala. Athletic wing defender, very good passer and overall high motor guy. They have been trying to replace Iguodala for a long time (Jacob Evans, Pat McCaw, etc.) but Barnes seems like the guy if he's available I would think.

James Bouknight is very intriguing to me as a shot creator, but with his decision making a bit suspect coming into the league I doubt Kerr gives him that much freedom. See Jordan Poole.

Jalen Johnson seems to have the highest upside of guys that might be available. But do the Warriors want another "high upside" big after taking Wiseman a year earlier?

Davion Mitchell, Franz Wagner and Josh Giddey, all make sense from the standpoint that they should be able to play right away. Giddey played professionally last year, but his lack of athleticism and defense might make him unplayable in spots too.

Wagner is definitely intriguing. Wish he would have been more aggressive offensively but he's going to be a very good defender.

If the Thunder don’t move up Moody will be a possibility at 6, they like him a lot
