2021 NASCAR Season Thread

The NASCAR season has already begun with two races at Daytona. Many changes and some new teams and a bunch of new drivers. We shall see how these changes all shake out going forward.

Larsen gets redemption with the win at Vegas. Erik Jones gets his first top ten finish of the year as the 43 car finishes tenth. That 43 team are going to win a race or two this year. Jones is a great driver and way better than noose boy who is already floundering in the 20's with Michael Jordon backing his paychecks. RPM got the better deal here.

Sounds like the new Danica. The media hype him up and makes tons of excuses for him but he's really just an average racer at best.

rained out til Monday.
All heat race & everything else has been rain out all weekend.
Double header of trucks & cars tomorrow. Just the main event.

Practice on Friday had a lot of problems with tire wear, and the dirt didn't last long in the groove, so everyone was basically driving on pavement.

they have shortened the runs to 50 laps between yellows. for the cup race.

Another thing about the practice session was, you could hardly see anything on camera due to the flying dirt. Not like a small track where there might only be a dozen cars, and the dust will settle a bit. I'm going to try to watch a little bit this afternoon but I still think this was a bad idea. Hopefully they learn either 1) not to try it again or b) how to do it better.

The truck race wasn't that bad today as far as TV except when they went to an in-car camera. Then you couldn't see nothing but a dirty windshield.

This is one race he could get a good finish in a weak ass car.
