He can't get out of his own way.

As much of a boob as Thibs was for benching Kemba, the Lakers would never have the guts to put Westbrook on the bench at crunch time.

He makes HORRIBLE decisions.

But, I still say Davis is just as much to blame.

He's way to passive when he isn't in the land of broken toys.
Honestly ADs trade value is nowhere near what it would take to get him.

THT is in over his head with the role they have him in now. 21 year old 2nd rounders should not be depended on to the extent he is depended upon.

Yeah, the only reason he's playing so much is all of the injuries and Covid stuff. He wasn't projected to play a lot of minutes, let alone be starting games.

and whats up with Draymond?

was he just not trying the last 2 seasons? He looked like dog shit and looked slow and like he lost a step. I watched a decent amount of GSW games since they were still on national tv even though they werent good the last 2 seasons. It was fun to watch them get gut-pucnhed. I saw a guy who INARGUABLY looked SLOW.

I didnt watch a ton of the game today- but I have watched him here and there this season and he has looked COMPLETELY different. He looks like he has explosion and athleticism again. LAst 2 seasons he shot 39% and 44%. He is at 55% this year which is easily a career high (taking less 3's is part of that equation). Highest rebounding numbers since 2015-2016.

and just another note- looking at his stats just reminds me how good he was in 2015-2016. Honestly- with his defense at that point, and his offensive efficiency, 3 pt shooting- he was unbelievable in 2015-2016. Played 81 games and 35 minutes a game. He had to be a top 10 player that year. He was prob. the best defender in the game that year. 14 points a game. Almost 10 rebounds a game. Almost 40% from 3 (a mark he would never come close to again). He was unreal that year.
Like I have said many times Dray is a very good player with grest players or a good supporting cast of players..when he doesn’t, it looks like he isn’t on the court. But it’s pretty dramatic the difference.

Even after being surrounded by less-than-optimal teammates who are not playing at any discernible level to sustain winning, LeBron set a record last night by passing Kobe as the all-time NBA scorer on Christmas Day. Kudos!

He's been sensational.

In the Spirit of Christmas, gotta say @DJ was right about the Lakers going after DeRozan.

Yes, it's Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning quarterbacking on my part.

But, he would have been exactly what you needed Russ to be.

The Alpha when LeBron is off the floor.

Shit, he's actually playing better than Zach.

ain't something i love acknowledging, but the Lakers are a hot mess right now. I almost feel like they should start again from the groung up...

Obtw, dunno if if you caught Matrix: Resurrections yet, but it leaves a lot to be desired...

Same classic double standard. You can dish it, but you don't think you should have to take it.

And this is even coming off a day in which I congratulated you for your team's big Xmas day win in Phoenix...

So, who's the douche bag now?
Your congratulations are always backhanded.

Great win….but….

I also wished you merry Xmas yesterday. So in terms of douchebag ratings I think we’re probably close to a tie.

He 1000% mailed in it during 2019 for sure. Last season he was definitely better but he started the season slow. This year he’s been as good as I’ve seen defensively. That’s where he leaves his mark for this team.

I cant find ANYTHING about when they expect any of the Cavs to get out of the protocol. Osman was put in the protocol today which blows.

Okoro entered health protocol on the 16th. Mobley on the 18th. Allen on the 19th. (Cavs also have Windler, Stevens, Davis)

Cavs/Raptors is 3pm tomorrow. Raptors are missing a lot of guys too. Looks like it will be a war of attrition. I think the Cavs win the game if Markkenen and Rubio shoot decently- unlike against the Celtics were they shit the bed.

missing Allen, Mobley, Okoro, Osman, Windler, Stevens, Davis is not ideal. lol.
Right. If math is correct (and have not checked today) would seem Okoro has a shot without testing out. as you said, can only hope Toronto guys stay out, too, to even things out...no clue when their guys went on the list.

That is completely untrue.

You want to bet on which franchise wins a title next?

LA Lakers or Cleveland

I got LA.
I might, too, but that is just because of how hard it is to win a title.....especially in a city like Cleveland. Be a title contender again? That should definitely be the Cavs.

But forget the Cavs and focus on LA again.....what makes you so confident they can compete for one so quickly when Lebron goes? Because they won a lot of them when they had elite FOs or when the sport was completely different when it came to the CBA?

It isn’t even about rebuilding quickly.

It is about getting back to the pinnacle of the league.

And the deck is stacked against small market teams doing that.
Yes...and after how long it took last time (and only culminated with Lebron) what makes you so sure they could do it without him?

The NFL is nothing like the NBA.

Teams go from worst to first in a short time frame all the time. And large markets don’t really have an advantage there because of a few reasons.
Yes....and the NBA when LA won many of those titles is nothing like the NBA today. Using either group of titles is absurd.

That's kind of embarrassing that the first time you are on a shit team you mail it in

Can only Lebron and AD for this. Wasn't there reports of them meeting with Russ prior to the deal being made? Did they ever consider how poor of a fit he would be?

Because they have done it 17 times before.

History tends to repeat.
