wow....unprotected?
all of the first rounders the clips dealt the thunder are unprotected. 3 of them. pretty crazy.

No George and no Kawhi....might be a pretty good pick....all though the west is pretty mediocre after the top 3 teams.

It’s almost like you’re actively trying to be obtuse. I used to think you knew hoops just had a disagreeing point of view. Now I can see you have no interest in the game itself. That’s a shame.
Same classic double standard. You can dish it, but you don't think you should have to take it.

And this is even coming off a day in which I congratulated you for your team's big Xmas day win in Phoenix...

So, who's the douche bag now?

Main takeaways from that Lakers game.

Westbrook is still ass. He is not a player that helps you win. He's a stats guy and nothing more. He doesn't get it. Never liked the trade or him as a player (as I've said numerous times, sorry lol) but the Laker logic was if Lebron or AD is out, at least you'd still have a 2nd star out there to carry the load. Well guess what? He's failed to carry the load every chance. When Lebron was out, he couldn't carry the team. They were still bumbling average. With AD out now, he's still struggling. Lebron, at 37 years old, is still doing it all himself. He can't score unless its his way. He's low IQ and can't make the right play. Did you see towards the end of the game where he had Lebron and Melo wideass open for a 3 but he instead drove it into 3 players for a dunk attempt that got stuffed? And he got cooked by Patty Mills all game because he's not actually a good defensive player. He gets steals to stuff the stat sheet, but he's lost most times in team defensive concepts.

Other takeaway is cut one of those bums Rondo or Bazemore and sign Stanley Johnson rest of the season. Don't care if he can't shoot for shit. His energy was the most any player has had all season.
I mean- there is a reason why Stanley Johnson was on the street--- but at least hes young and athletic and plays with effort. LeBron can work with that. Same with Monk and Nunn when he gets back. At least he can work with young guys with athleticism that are hungry- even if they are failed lotto picks.

I thought @bksballer89 made a good point in one of his posts about Ellington. The guy is not a good defender and old- but that dude can still shoot a 3. Not sure why they cant get him in the right spots and get him the ball.

THT is in over his head with the role they have him in now. 21 year old 2nd rounders should not be depended on to the extent he is depended upon.

as for Bazemore, Rondo, DeAndre Jordan.....put them out to pasture. The glue factory is calling.

At least Melo plays hard. 11 boards, 3 blocks, 4 assists, 2 steals shows that he is out there putting in the effort. Guy should not be playing 39 minutes though. He has to be gassed.

and whats up with Draymond?

was he just not trying the last 2 seasons? He looked like dog shit and looked slow and like he lost a step. I watched a decent amount of GSW games since they were still on national tv even though they werent good the last 2 seasons. It was fun to watch them get gut-pucnhed. I saw a guy who INARGUABLY looked SLOW.

I didnt watch a ton of the game today- but I have watched him here and there this season and he has looked COMPLETELY different. He looks like he has explosion and athleticism again. LAst 2 seasons he shot 39% and 44%. He is at 55% this year which is easily a career high (taking less 3's is part of that equation). Highest rebounding numbers since 2015-2016.

and just another note- looking at his stats just reminds me how good he was in 2015-2016. Honestly- with his defense at that point, and his offensive efficiency, 3 pt shooting- he was unbelievable in 2015-2016. Played 81 games and 35 minutes a game. He had to be a top 10 player that year. He was prob. the best defender in the game that year. 14 points a game. Almost 10 rebounds a game. Almost 40% from 3 (a mark he would never come close to again). He was unreal that year.

and can anyone tell me why Richaun Holmes is only playing 26 minutes a night?

why are the Kings giving minutes to so many big men? Holmes, Thompson, Len, Metu, Bagley. IF they are trying to actually win- they should not play Len anymore. Metu is not good either. He is taking 4 3's a game which is a joke.

I guess I get playing Bagley if you are trying to show case him for a trade--- but if they are actually trying to win- play Holmes AT LEAST 30 minutes a night and give Thompson more minutes. Thompson is still a good defender and a stud on the offensive glass and knows how to play the game. Playing Alex Len makes no sense. Metu is not good either. He cant shoot for shit.

But Kings are gonna King. Holmes getting 26 minutes a night is a joke. The guy is at 70% shooting, and 9.2 rebounds a night and he plays good D. WTF.

I cant find ANYTHING about when they expect any of the Cavs to get out of the protocol. Osman was put in the protocol today which blows.

Okoro entered health protocol on the 16th. Mobley on the 18th. Allen on the 19th. (Cavs also have Windler, Stevens, Davis)

Cavs/Raptors is 3pm tomorrow. Raptors are missing a lot of guys too. Looks like it will be a war of attrition. I think the Cavs win the game if Markkenen and Rubio shoot decently- unlike against the Celtics were they shit the bed.

missing Allen, Mobley, Okoro, Osman, Windler, Stevens, Davis is not ideal. lol.

he does not understand that the advantages that had the Celtics and Lakers win so many titles have either disappeared or been severely mitigated in many different ways.

That is completely untrue.

You want to bet on which franchise wins a title next?

LA Lakers or Cleveland

I got LA.

If you are talking about what I think you are, the absurdity of his comment had much more to do with the Lakers than the Cavs and the idea he was so sure this Laker regime gives the impression they could rebuild quickly when Lebron goes.

It isn’t even about rebuilding quickly.

It is about getting back to the pinnacle of the league.

And the deck is stacked against small market teams doing that.

You do, eh? Even though most of the guys who put those title teams together are no longer there?

Hell, by that "logic" even after 1-31 I should have thought the Browns would get it together quickly with all those titles we had (not 17, of course but at least 8).

The NFL is nothing like the NBA.

Teams go from worst to first in a short time frame all the time. And large markets don’t really have an advantage there because of a few reasons.

*bong rip*

I just solved everyone's problems. Make me a GM

Brooklyn gets someone they can play every game and gets off of that third eye Kyrie bullshit. Philly gets something of value for Ben Simmons. Lakers get a PG that is young and can defend. We'll figure the shooting out later.
Lmfao.....

Harden and Durant would retire.

Man, as much fun as it was to hammer KD for dipping to the Warriors...

But, boy did he save himself.

I know LeBron is 176 years old.

But, if he can't make WestBRICK look serviceable, he is lost.

Lebron made JJ Hicks and Boobie Gibson look promising.

In fairness…

All those guys had to do was make open shots/finishing chances LeBron created for them.

That isn’t Russ’ game.

Chet, Jabari or Paalo?

Shit, you might end up with 2 of the 3...lol
Need a little luck, had a 50 percent shot of getting 2 of the top 5 last year and ended up with 6 instead. Hoping the Clippers pick can get to around 10, not expecting any higher unless we get lucky.

He can't get out of his own way.

As much of a boob as Thibs was for benching Kemba, the Lakers would never have the guts to put Westbrook on the bench at crunch time.

He makes HORRIBLE decisions.

But, I still say Davis is just as much to blame.

He's way to passive when he isn't in the land of broken toys.

The West isn't great.

George, Ibaka, Morris, Batum have all missed significant time.

We are still over .500.

Play in isn't out of the realm of possibility.

So, I0 sounds right.

Again: See Kyrie Irving.

Clippers Clip often.
