Yep. Grading on a curve. But then after we concede this point, we will still get posts here using stats to try and establish the mental gymnastics used to say Embiid and Jokic are comparable defensive players....wait my bad....statistics that say Joker is a better defensive player than Embiid.

Rebounds, steals, blocks are all easy counting stats. Plus/minus isn't far behind.

Plus minus? Now I know you're full of shit. That's a team/group stat, not an individual stat.

Thanks, @Wamu you've now convinced everybody that I throw away all statistics. It's not that I question some metrics. It's not that I argue that there is little difference between one guy finishing 1st vs another finishing 4th in the league in a metric. It's me ignoring all statistics. Getting gaslit is the tits. It's especially awesome when a person admitted they don't even watch either player.

I also don't have rooting interest in either player. Jokic is more of a thorn in the side of my team than Embiid; I have no reason to root for him. I've said before that I expect Embiid to win, but that's not necessarily due to actual performance.

You've ignored every head to head stat I've mentioned. Of course you're disregarding what the numbers say, there's no other way to look at it.

I gottta good laugh outta your Jokic fat-man nonsense though, comment # 17,744. As far as durability goes I'm sure this is something that doesn't count when comparing Jokic & Embiid.

Number of games played each season.

Jokic- 80, 73, 75, 80, 73, 72, 57 (of a possible 64 so far this season)

Embiid- none, none, 31, 63, 64, 51, 51, 51

It's the outcome while the player in question is on the floor. What could be more appropriate, especially when one player has been the runaway leader two years in a row? It shows how the presence of that player affects the performance of his teammates.

I list 4 stats, one of which is in Embiid's favor, and you focus on one because it's not as easily defined.
It's the one that very quickly reveals that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Jokic is a thorn in side to many WC teams. And I'm not an anti-Embiid guy, I like watching him play. I said this to fightinfunbags but he disagrees. In a close MVP race all those head to head stats I posted will be a determining factor into who wins the award this season. And right now by the numbers I think Jokic is having the better season.

Jokic won last season due to his durability and the fact he led the league in double-double's and was second in trip-dubs. This season he's leading the league in both.

Unwritten late-season rule for this Pacers team: If you have any minor injury such as an ingrown toenail, you must sit out.

Ready, set, tank!

Allen out for the game....Garland clearly laboring- i thought he was going to be out at one point too.....

would be a nice win. Looking like they are going to hang on.

Cedi has really been a nice bench scorer. Gotta think about bringing him back.
Allen leaves for a cut....then it's a quad bruise.....then a broken finger? OIC

Have to admit when Toronto came back to tie I thought it might be over. Hell of an answer and Mobley was exceptional in this one.

fuuuuuuuuuuck.

at some point the attrition is going to be too much.

i wonder how long a fractured finger keeps osmeone out.

garland is hobbling around. LeVert is out. Rondo is out. Sexton of course out for the rest of the regular season at least......

for a young team its gonna be too much at some point. At least they have some big man depth.
They do, but Davis is the only other true center. Looks like Love and Mobley will need to play there some.
