lol....Beal and Kuzma for AD

so what would that be in the end?

The Lakers would have dealt Ball, Ingram, multiple first round picks and picks swaps, Josh Hart, Montrezel, another first round pick, and KCP- for the right to give Bradley Beal 250 million over 5 years and Russel Westbrook? yikes.
Dude, they are fucked if they think Davis is their franchise player going forward.

Sometimes you have to cut bait.

Clippers got out of the Blake Griffin business right before the Las wheel fell off.

It was very distasteful how they did him.

But, still the right call.

Like, he wasn't wrong here.

But, Twitter will be fun today when the Kobe Kamp and Bronsexuals read this.

:pop2:

In an exhibition victory over Australia in Shanghai — New York Post sports columnist Ian O’Connor reports in his new book “Coach K: The Rise and Reign of Mike Krzyzewski” — Bryant took some low-percentage shots that didn’t fit the team-first culture Krzyzewski was trying to install. The Duke coach was trying to ensure the Americans didn’t relive their disastrous Olympic experience in Athens four years earlier under then-Detroit Pistons coach Larry Brown. Players noticed, including James. “Everyone knew it,” one Team USA staffer says in the book. “They know when another player is being selfish. Players can police themselves, but in this instance, as LeBron was coming out of the game, he said to Mike, ‘Yo, Coach, you’d better fix that motherf–ker,’ as he walked by. He was talking about Kobe.”

Honestly Dame is a hell of a talent. But what has he built? Won? Cmon its getting out of hand here.

Its proven he cannot win as the top guy, so he will do what most stars do and hop on a power team and chase a ring

Yeah, other than being loved by fans, can't see that he's built anything. But he has been able to leave multiple times and always has the option of demanding a trade to a contender...but he has always insisted on staying in Portland and winning there.

It's looking like the only way he leaves is if the Blazers decide to strip the whole thing down and start over.

I agree but would also point out that is likely to be too late for Dame. He’s already about to enter the back end very shortly if he’s not there already.

Let’s be honest too. If Embiid doesn’t get hurt, Embiid is MVP last year. It was a close vote and missing games was held against him.
That's why he lost it for sure.

But, I agree with @tlance about them being close.

In a perfect world where Embiid didn't have a injury history, I'd take him over the Joker.

His scoring and defense is superb.

But, Jockic is no slouch as a scorer and his passing is Elite.

They are 1a and 1b in the Center debate.

I prefer Joel. But, anyone taking the Joker couldn't be accused of crazy talk....imo

Embiid when healthy over a full season. That's yet to happen though

Not sure how it’s a Homer take to say the one guy is an elite two way player and the other guy is just elite offensively and just another guy defensively.

It's a 100% homer take on your part. There's no doubt about it.

And here's a perfect example of you going by your heart instead of paying any attention to the head to head stats this season. You're the only one incorrectly saying those numbers I posted are for...

-->Stats are for people who play JV soccer as a senior in high school and can’t digest what they’re looking at.<--

You said that exact same foolish homeristic nonsense last season when I pointed out Jokic played every game, Embiid missed a bunch of games. Jokic led the league in double-doubles & was second in trip-dub.

And this season Jokic again has more double-doubles & trip-dubs. But you seem to think comparing their stats means nothing. Which is very bizarre.

You can't go wrong with either player. But what's that saying- availability is the best ability?

Embiid has never played more the 64 games in a season, and didn't play at all his first two seasons. Jokic has played at least 72 games each season of his career. Jokic is more dependable. I'm going with him.

Can we just start the playoffs now? Suns will get best record in the NBA, should not be tested until they play the Warriors. Bucks of this season are not last year's Bucks.

If Embiid stays healthy it’s him. And yeah, I always have the same comment on the Embiid/Jokic comparison. You have two elite offensive players who have different game and different ways to control their team’s offense. But when you shift discussion to the defensive end of the floor the comparison gets pretty damn wide. Where I see what you’re saying is that the MVP has traditionally been an award that skews to offense. I place a higher value on two way play. That’s why a few years back I was Giannis > Harden in the MVP race. When you have two great offensive players I think you look defense. Embiid vs Jokic defensively isn’t even a debate.
I have Embiid in front Jokic could easily pass him if Embiid’s production falls bc of Harden getting his or if they start losing. I don’t expect it to happen but certainly possible

Jokic has more help than Embiid, team records are basically a wash. Can Embiid avoid a late season injury derailing him again?
Yeah I dont agree with that. Jokic has no Murray and MPJ. Embiid has more help and when Harden starts playing he will have way more help

The playoff should be very interesting. Looking forward to them.

I will openly admit I favor the guy with the better post game on offense and that is Embiid. I just like that Embiid can play like the old school centers when needed. On the defensive end there really is no comparison.

Yeah I agree defensive Embiid is better but I am not huge into advanced stats but both players have a 104 defensive rating which was surprising.
He also leads in defensive win shares 3.1 to 2.7 and dpbm 4.6 to 2.3 which is a large difference.
