Pelinka is going to sign one 10-day contract player to a full contract and likely that will be Stanley Johnson and then is fixing to move Bazemore and maybe Westbrook (maybe) or Jordon for Jeremy Grant in Detroit. So Rondo will go and at this point Pelinka doesn't really care who comes back in return if anyone does from Cleveland. Like you stated, he wants roster spots opened.

My guess is Pelinka will settle for the protected second-rounder which can be future draft capital which the Lakers need. We shall see though.

I am not so sure DJ. What may occur is Jordon will be added to another player and/or draft picks to get him out of LA. Jordon is not playing hardly at all in the last four games at least. He barely sees 5 minutes of playing time for the entire game if he does play at all. LA Coaching staff have been going small-ball with James at Center before they'll play Jordon. If they do go big, they play Howard (usually starting) and Jordon sits.

I hope this is a true story, bksballer. Rondo does little in the present scheme of things night-in and night-out. If the Cavs can use him, Pelinka should move him even for draft capital. We have several other players like him that Pelinka should move just to open up spaces for guys like Stanley Johnson who signed a 10-day contract and he is starting. Young, plays decent defense, and gives ya 7-12 points a night. I am pretty sure he'll be signed to a full contract here in the next couple of days.

That's always how it is. There are 3 NBA seasons every year...regular season, playoffs, and off-season. The regular season is the least fun.

'i wouldnt be surprised if Rondo is cooked- but with Garland out, and missing Sexton and Rubio- the Cavs just need a guy that knows how to play the position of point guard.

That- and itll be interesting to see if Rondo does better with a team that actually plays within a team concept instead of a star - dribble dribble dribble concept. Rim runnin with Mobley and Allen, and on a team that passes the ball a lot might rejuvenate him a little bit

or maybe he sucks and he is gone if the CAvs make a trade.
