Sure. In 3 years, he could be completing his 2 year extension with LA for another $97M at age 40. Cleveland is no more likely than any other team in the league if it's all about playing with his son.

I'm not saying a player definitely will or won't do anything, but you seem to be doing that for the opposite take, are you not? Show me where any player in NBA history has turned down supermax or max money to play on an exception. It is exceedingly unlikely anyone turns down $40M extra per season. It would be simpler for the team that pays him (or can pay him) that contract to obtain Bronny via trade. even if its an overpay.
It'll be fun seeing what happens. Neither of us knows for sure.

Yeah, that's the issue. :L

Kings fans just assume everyone else is triggered too.

Funny how I have homer glasses for being as sure in my position as he is in his. I've even stated that Lebron has that max contract waiting for him wherever he is, whether that's in LA or if he gets traded. Still it's "homer glasses", lol.

Heck, and maybe Bronny says, "Dad, I know what ya do to young guys. I don't want to be shipped at your whim so about about you stay put?"

Maybe…

But I also am not convinced Bronny makes the NBA at all without his dad as part of the package.

So I really doubt he says that.

Don't want to ruin the jazz/mavs thread with this but this is why i will always take Bam over Rudy. Come playoffs time, it is too easy to take him out of the game by going small ball or using a stretch 5. He also doesn't take advantage of his height on offense. Wirh his size advantage, he should avg about 18/14 im this series

I think most would. Rudy has some great attributes, but his overall game does not compare to Bam's.

while I happen to agree with you he's not likely to come here, the Lakers are home and had Lebron. with Lebron, the Cavs are probably playing a bit longer.

It wasn't reflected well in that post (it was early AM lol), but what I meant is that he has 16 playoff teams that could add him via an MLE to choose from as well. Cleveland is unlikely to be target #1 if he moves on from LA.

Why? Rings have to matter more. He's got 3-4 more good years
Or BOTH. Money and rings matter. He might accept less when he knows his time is almost ended but for now I don't see him taking a significant paycut. From $40M to $30M sure but I don't believe that is being talked about

That is what I found hilarious. Dude is considered to have negative trade value, but somehow he's a top10 FA. lol

Did you look at the other names around him?

The issue is his contract.

If he is a free agent, he will probably get paid 20 million or so. Maybe a little more.

The others listed in his neighborhood aren’t getting $47 million in FA.

lol

while funny--- gotta cut the guy a break......if Harden and Maxy were not playing- and the Sixers were playing the Warriors- not sure how well the Sixers would be doing either.

Porter Jr., and Murray are both out- easily #2 and #3 on that team. Hard to hold that against Jokic. If Giannis was mising Holiday and Middleton- or Curry was missing Klay and Dray- or Suns were missing Paul and Ayton- it might not go well either. etc.

Just saw an interesting article regarding who the Lakers could/should look at for HC. According to the article, Woj said that the Hornets are going to fire James Borrego and the Lakers should consider him.

Article cites the steady improvement of the team while having a roster that has lacked talent for most of his tenure.

Here's another one of my bad ideas for the Lakers.

Why not name Rob Pelinka HC and make Linda Rambis the GM?

just the Cavs luck the East has like 5-6 really good teams as soon as they start getting their shit together

i cant remember the East ever being this deep. Sixers, Bucks, Heat, Nets, Celtics are all teams to be reckoned with. Toronto and the Bulls are clearly a tier below but solid.

Cavs could improve drastically with the experience they garnered this year but still be looking at a 6-8 seed.

I hope they figure something out. They have some assets between LeVert, Sexton, their pick, Love and his expiring deal, Markannen, Okoro, Osman--- all guys/assets with value.

They have a great core in Garland, Mobley and Allen--- and i like a lot of the other guys--- but no one but those 3 should be untouchable.

If not from around here I'd agree with that 100% (hell, likely never comes back the first time) but the fact he is from here AND our team would be really good with him......?
