Jay Wright as next Lakers head coach confirmed. lol

That is hilarious.

The reason why the Wizards might say yes?

“They have not consistently made moves that are in their best interest over the long term”.

Spot on!

What a horrible trade for the Wizards. They probably would do it.

Assuming if the deal is made it's because Detroit knows what they want to pay him and a deal is in place.

One factor, though, is would Sexton agree to go to Detroit? Isn't to say he wouldn't....especially if no one else was making a significant offer (or the Cavs were not).

I don’t think that is as big a factor at this point.

RFA’s just don’t have the leverage to make demands. The team that has their bird rights has the ultimate control over whether they pay him or not.

Besides, I think a team like Detroit would pay him, and like you said he could fit pretty well with Cade.

If Weaver likes Sexton he would definitely pay him. Hard to say what that dude thinks. He's made a few moves people scratched their heads on that worked out.

I'd suspect this is the offseason he starts working towards a competitor. They had to bench half their team down the stretch and they still won half their games.

In this alternate reality Lebron willingly goes to a bad team with a couple players who more than likely do not like him. Seems reasonable.

Link? This is exactly the take I've been pitching here for a while
It's a very presumptive take, since there's no guarantee Cleveland gets Bronny. Teams know that Lebron wants to play with his son, and that could cause him to either be overdrafted or for his current team (whether that is the Lakers or elsewhere) to maneuver to draft him via draft day trades). We don't even know what level prospect he'll become or how many years he'll play in college.

I agree. I really believe that James will not re-up with the Lakers this summer and he will inform them that he is seeking employment elsewhere. Much of that decision will depend on who the Lakers hire for HC going forward. I would not be surprised if he signs with Cleveland as a FA.
He would have to take a massive pay cut (as in MLE) to get to Cleveland via free agency.

Like money is a factor for him anymore. Rings and playing with Bronny matter far more.

Is Bronny going to be in next year's draft somehow to coincide with Lebron's free agency? He would have to skip college altogether.

LeBron can go to Cleveland on a 1 and 1 and follow Bronny if he wants to. Or maybe Bronny plays 2 years in college while dad gets 2 more rings in Cleveland.

Point being, I can't see LeBron staying with the Lakers if a better chance to win rings is somewhere else. The money is irrelevant.

It's always easy to say the money is irrelevant when it's not yours. He would be the first to pass up max money for an MLE,

Dude you're completely wrapped up in homer glasses. Just think about it. LeBron has done a lot of things first before. Max money simply can't mean anything to him when he has 3-4 more good years left, max.

Maybe you're right, it's not a lock. But I'm not making this take up, it's being talked about a lot.

One would think Lebron would pass up money for legacy. I know he's all about some LA but there are better options for him b ball wise

He can still run his businesses, he's got a phone and computer and oh yeah a whole company that runs his shit. He can go get 2 more rings and max money isn't even a factor. If the Lakers can put enough around him that he thinks he can stay in LA and win, he will. Don't see that happening.

It has nothing to do with being a homer. He will get offers miles past the MLE if he tests free agency, and if he doesn't sign an extension this summer could very well be traded to somewhere where he will.

Ummmm....

Does this ranking look right to y'all?

A few things jump out at me.

Bruce Brown at 30...

Westbrook at #10.

Bamba at #16.

But, the biggest issue....

Kyrie over Beal.

I would honestly want Beal over Lavine and Harden.

But, Kyrie is just flagrant due to his toxic, petulant personality.

Again, you can't see it. The money offers he gets DO NOT MATTER. He will go where he can best fit to win a ring or two.

I'll believe it when I see it. I still believe his idea of taking less money is maybe $10M less, not $40M less per season.

Go check his net worth, his ring total, Jordan's ring total, and his age and them get back to us.
