Well yeah. The Pac is a joke right now. With so many teams down and no dominating teams bringing the national spotlight to the region why wouldn't more high level talent be leaving? When a few teams stop being lame more will stay in conference again.

The California teams struggling I think play a big role in this. USC is a dumpster fire right now, Cal is trending upward but still middle of the pack, UCLA has yet to pick it up under Chip Kelly and a lot of kids don't have the academics to get into Stanford. Right now the four best teams in the PAC-12 are probably UW, Oregon, Utah and WSU. Not many blue chippers wants to go to WSU or Utah and Oregon's only appeal is Nike and recent success. It makes sense a lot of California prospects are going out of state.

There it is. At 6-1 going into his senior season, he's got nice length for the backfield. And his offer sheet included Penn St, Michigan, UCLA, Oregon, ASU, and Wash St.
Nice get for DB-U.

Appears the analysts are all in agreement that Smith is a great get for the program. And could be out there as a freshman getting some playing time.
He's definitely projected as a CB. No real digs on him besides the call that he can get grabby for the ball, when he should be more patient. But they said that's the story with every HS DB recruit, no matter what's their ranking. Many saying expect his rating to jump dramatically as his senior season goes on and could easily end up with another star by Dec.

The Huskies are projected right now to take a mix of 4 DBs for the class. So this starts putting more pressure on the other targets to make the call or not.

Great get for the program. Go Dawgs.

I'm all for signing as many highly touted prospects as possible, despite his current ranking I like the signing. Considering he had been sitting behind two 4* prospects I don't think there is any reason to doubt that he'll shine this year.

I don't know how many of you regularly attend the games, but how do you guys feel about 9am kickoffs for Pac-12 games? Could give the conference more exposure, but attending a 9am game would be fucking awful. A lot of fans live outside of Seattle proper and if they wanted to get there by kickoff they'd need to leave from wherever they live at like 8am. If they wanna tailgate for two hours, they'd have to leave at 6am which would mean waking up around 5am to attend a game. That doesn't sound pleasant.

Im so over the 7pm games that it lead to me dropping my season tickets. It was a whole different thing when games started mostly at noon with a few afternoon games.

Getting up at 5 a.m. would suck and so does not getting in until 1am from those late games.

If they want to change things go back to the Noon Kick off's. I know there still around but like back in the day. Everything was a Noon kickoff unless you had prime time game scheduled

I'd say noon - 4pm kickoffs are ideal personally. Not a fan of night games just because whenever I think of college football - or football in general - I think of it being played during the day.

I didn't renew my season tickets last year because I thought I'd still be in Peace Corps and I didn't renew this year because I didn't really think about it and it's too late now since most of the people I would want to go with have already bought their tickets and I don't want to sit alone.

The logistical issues of the 7pm kickoff are a pain in the ass, but my opposition to it is mostly that I prefer day games and feel like that's how it should be. My biggest issue with 7pm kickoffs is that I feel like I have to leave early so I don't spend a fortune on an uber and if I want to take public transportation, it's a shit show.

Never know when a walk on turns into an impact player. I believe Chris Petersen and company scout players really well so you never know what could happen. There was a walk-on linebacker from Alaska - whose name I can't recall - who made a big impact on special teams and could push for playing time in 2019.
