He didnt have longevity but his 3 years were great. Then he got hurt and was poor his last one.

And even so, his 4.85 in 117 innings is sadly better than like 75% of our starters the last 13 years.

He was paid a lot of money for those three seasons, his first season was very good. You could argue they didn't get for him, it doesn't help they sold low on go go, but eh

If you are trying to in any way say that trading Santana worked out for us you need to find a drug rehabilitation facility ASAP.

Johan would have done wonders for us in 2008(lost 1 game playoff), 2009(daddied by Yankees), 2010(same thing)

It was classic cheap Twins and we haven't had a legit ace since. And we got straight up trash in return. It was terrible

Our budget? Sure, that would be screwed. But we are filthy rich. If we ain't gonna go out and buy talent at least keep the rare ones you develop. Which again is the issue, we havent developed a pitcher since.

Maybe Maeda will turn out to be a mega steal.
