Remember when I complimented Rosarios improved patience?

Well I know something that still hasnt improved....his defense. Still abysmal.

Still making me nervous. One big hit, a GS, but nothing else at all. Without that hit, this is a loss. This offense is hiding behind the long ball again. They had better wake up. There is no time to waste.

@Nosferatu

You wanna talk draft busts?!?!?

Jose Berrios

I think it's a little early for that, he's had three seasons of sub 4 ERA, much gooder than Kyle Gibson. I think he's still a pretty good #3 but I do agree he's not the ace we all hoped he'd be.

Think about our mindset 6 years ago, thinking we had Berrios, Sano and Buxton coming up, the future looked bright. But hey at least we don't trade prospects for real major league talent to compete when we gots a shot!!

But that’s the exact issue

Gibson at least was never expected to be an ace.

Berrios has been hyped every year since he’s been here. He’s absolutely melted down every second half

I just once want us to have an ace.

Gibson was expected to be a #1, he was drafted higher than Berrios was, I just think the organization realized early on Gibson had no chance to be that guy, he was a far bigger disappointment than Berrios is in realty but I do agree I expected more from Berrios than I ever did from Gibson.

Berrios is a middle of the rotation guy. Time to stop thinking he is more than that.

15-8 is solid.

Offense still mostly putrid.

Luckily, that doesn't include Cruz.

My god our offense is bad. Just awful ABs

Brewers are throwing a guy with control issues and who is not stretched out.

Only reason why hes at 38 pitches instead of 29 is cause Kepler swung at a pitch so bad that he reached first on the K

Polanco then after a long AB did his classic pull his feet outta the box on a pitch down the middle a K. Dude hitting .300 doesnt mean a ton if hes gonna completely abandon any sort of power

Yeah, 13 years ago. Kinda the point. We haven't had a legit #1 type pitcher since we inexplicably traded him

He kind of fell apart after the trade. Hard to call that a fail

????

He didnt have longevity but his 3 years were great. Then he got hurt and was poor his last one.

And even so, his 4.85 in 117 innings is sadly better than like 75% of our starters the last 13 years.
