Yeah, Jeter probably gets in. Walker's probably biting his nails at this point. I think he's going to fall just short though. Guess we'll find out in an hour and a half.
Media outrage over this will be hilarious.Larry Walker got in. MLB network is crying that someone didn't vote for Jeter, he had settle for the second most votes in history.

More egregious than anyone not getting 100% of the vote, IMO.JJ Putz and Brad Penny got votes

"First ballot" works in the NFL because only five guys get it, but in MLB the notion needs to just stop. Votes aren't restricted so either the guy is or the guy isn't.Media outrage over this will be hilarious.
Honestly, the whole "unanimous vote" and "first ballot" shit has been pomposity at it's finest. There aren't ten guys in any one individual HOF class that get in anymore. With yearly voting, most guys who get in should be close to 100% anyway.
This "100%" and "first ballot" nonsense happened because there were legitimately 40 eventual HOFers on the first several ballots. Once the initial logjam cleared, the whole thing should have died, but people continued to make it matter. Let it go.

What if I told you the reason Jeter didn't get 100% of the vote was because some random guy voted for Putz and Penny instead of Jetes?More egregious than anyone not getting 100% of the vote, IMO.
somewhere, mpl is yelling at a cloud
Congrats man. And thanks for 4/5ths of The Band and Neil Young but the rest of your country is kinda gay (not that there's anything wrong with that)Woohoo
