Got a bump in the composite, eSpin is dragging him down. Just barely out of the 5* range, that could change during the season

FYI

Lucky and Septak are the 2 ahead, he’s in front of Green and Baker

Nebraska All Time Football Recruits

There are 29 5 stars in 247 composite rankings so barely outside of getting that 5th star

Sevion Morrison from Tulsa Oklahoma

Normally, I would not post this, but 247 lists Scott Frost as the secondary recruiter, primary is Ryan Held.

Sevion runs a 4.52 40 yard dash.

Sevion Morrison

Edison, RB, Jr. (6)

Carried 35 times for 392 yards and five TDs in a 37-27 win over Ada. In 2018, he has 2,673 yards on 215 carries and a school-record 38 TDs overall. Rushed for 1,068 yards and 12 TDs on 141 carries in his sophomore season.

BTW, he averages more 12 yards per carry in 2018.

Think it's about time for a Summer Big Board as we head into some big visit weekends. Seems the staff is hitting the 2021 class pretty dang hard right now but there are some names and movement for the 2020 class as well. One of the of the bigger names right now is Cody Simon... big time recruit 4-star OLB that plays safety in college. Could play either Safety or OLB at the next level. They like him like a JoJo Domann type... Notre Dame was long thought to be the leader but isn't anymore. Between Ohio State and Nebraska right now and Nebraska is getting the first visit.

Sometime soon I will have a Summer Big Board posted with names. There's a lot of familiar names but also some new ones and some quality prospects on the board as well.

I think Sevion could end up being a 4-star when it's all said and done. Dynamic athlete with really good speed

The wild thing, he watched the NFL Draft with the Iowa coaches and saw two Iowa tight ends drafted in the first round.

How the heck did Nebraska pull this off, or is Iowa still stacked at TE?

i honestly asked the same question. i still haven't come up with an answer. he has to sit a year (unless given a waiver which they hand out like candy at a children's doctors office). both teams have young guys on their roster so it's not like he's expecting a bunch of seniors to graduate or Juniors to go to the draft thus opening up playing time.

This article was also confused about where he would even fit in on the Huskers: Nebraska Football: Addition of Travis Vokolek is a bit puzzling. TLDR: didn't understand where NU needed the depth and thought a spot was better served at another position of need. Stoll, Allen, Rafdal, Legrone, Chris Hickman with most being So/Fr and people being real excited about Hickman and his playmaking potential.

travis Vokolek. Dad coached at Northern Iowa maybe with Chinander and Verduzzco. Dad is from Lincoln, NE. he also coached at Wayne State and UNO.

Former Rutgers tight end Travis Vokolek transferring to Nebraska (UPDATE)

Looked up his numbers

6' 6" caught 18 passes and 2 TDs in 2018.
he caught passes against Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Illinois. All in Nebraska division.

Maybe when Nebraska watched film of those teams, they saw what he was doing against the division opponents.

nebraska DID NOT offer him a scholarship out of high school. But that was during the Riley era.

According to transfer rules, yes, he is supposed to sit out. But with all the special appeals, and if you grease some NCAA dude's palms, it seems you can be available to play immediately. It all depends if some rich donor doles out the cash, if you ask me.

He has not redshirted, so he is a three years to play two.

Lynum is a good pick-up, kind of like Bootle in that he's rated lowly but blew away coaches at camps whenever he went. Has a great build and superb athleticism. Obviously won't be ready for a few years so he's not an instant impact guy but the potential by year 3 or 4 is through the roof from what I've heard.

Look for Alex Conn to pull the trigger soon and whispers are out there that Malik Reed could also pull the trigger. Those looking for more 4-star action could like what's coming from Joshuah Moten, a former PSU commit that is set to announce on July 2nd and currently has Nebraska on top of his list... he's a composite 4-star CB. Nebraska could also see Nash Hutmacher and Blaise Gunnerson pull the trigger sometime soon as well. Could go from 4 to 8 commits pretty quickly.

But... he didn't commit. It's a Nebraska-Notre Dame battle that's for sure, the longer this goes the better for Nebraska IMO. Also, this isn't over until signing day with him if he commits to Notre Dame. He has former teammates and friends in Lincoln and I would guess would still be a visitor during the season even if he committed to Notre Dame over the summer. Winning is going to be big to get him and it wouldn't hurt if Blaise Gunnerson committed to N as well. Those two are close.
