Good get, now he needs to get his grades in order, but we needed to lock him up. Supreme talent in the state of Nebraska. Great get.

1. Logan Smothers (QB) [Athens, AL] - 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN
2. Zavier Betts (WR) [Bellevue, NE] - 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN

Most of the real studs at QB in the Alabama prep ranks were in the 2018-19 class. I believe the offerings for 2020 are pretty weak. I'd never even heard of Smothers until I saw this post. Looks like the only other schools that showed interest were South Alabama, Southern Miss, Austin Peay, Louisville, Ole Miss & Troy.

Zavier Betts ran a 100m 11.0 sec in 2018

Logan smothers ran a 100m in march 2019 at 10.93,
Logan SMothers ran a 200m in March 2019 in 22;31 sec, in class 6a, section 4

he will qualify for state in the 100 meter, maybe in the 200m

2018 100m run alabama state champ ran a 10.58
2018 200m run state champ ran a 21.2

Still, Logan Smothers has wheels

Speed kills in college football. nebraska is going to be a difficult game pretty soon for the B1G West.

Super wacky prediction

2020 Nebraska wins the B1G West Division title.

I say they win division this year. Schedule is way more easy in 2019 vs 2020.

Weatherford (Texas) High quarterback Ken Seals committed to Vanderbilt on Wednesday evening.

The Commodores beat out the likes of Boston College, Cincinnati, Kansas, Minnesota, N.C. State and Rutgers for the 247Sports Composite's No. 14 pro-style passer.

He did average 6.53 yards per carry in Alabama's second-largest class (6A), but that didn't take the Golden Eagles too far. They still lost in the first round of the playoffs. With that kind of speed, you'd think he could have scored more than 8 rushing TD's on the season.

I'm not sure if his statistics include all 12 games he played in last year. His first game was considered a pre-season game, and I'm not sure if the stats in that game count among his season totals since the game is not counted towards the team's won-loss record.

If he doesn't make it as a QB, maybe Nebraska can use him on their track team.

You should be happy he did not choose Alabama then, because Logan must really suck. Especially if you are on the Husker board bad mouthing him.

I'm not saying he sucks. He may turn out to be a good get for Nebraska. But if he's that good of a QB, I'm surprised I never heard of him before. That, and the fact that the only in-state offers he got were from Troy & South Alabama, should be a clue to how he was evaluated by most of the big name schools in the area.

Maybe Nebraska sees something in him that the other schools don't.
