I just don't see them taking a left handed outfielder. More like a pitcher, 3B or C.

That makes no sense at all when so many other positions need filled. You are right. We need to look for a future 3b and a C when Mathis skips town

From what I have read it is a bad year for pitchers at the top of the draft. They never draft for need, but I do believe there is a good 3B available. I hope they take the best hitter that can get here in less than 4 years, myself.

Food for thought on the Trout extension, during his previous extension, 6 years 144 million, he almost doubled the value of that 6 year contract in just 4 years, 285 million,

And, I think the last 2 year's of that deal become the first 2 years of his new extension (33.2 million), so in essence it was a 4 year deal at 78.1 million.... and he accrued 285 million in value according to Fangraphs WAR

Teams who want to contend are wise extending their young stars. Really hope Odor show his to be wise move. Has gone oppo several times this spring which is a good. But of course only ST.

Point is we need to develop some elite hitters and pitchers. No reason to be buyers if this does not happen. This is why I am looking forward to second half of season
