Kyrie and Durant in BKLYN seems more appealing to me over the past few weeks...

It's the way of the gun now.

As ironic as it seems, the Warriors are now the most organic team left in the NBA.

They don’t.

Remember when they signed LeBron and Bosh in free agency?

Of course they drafted Wade.

Point is they are players for big FAs whenever they cap space and a bit of promise on the roster. The Heat could make the playoffs the next 10 years, never bottom out and then make a couple huge signings/trades and become contenders right away.

You know, like the Clippers did this season.

That build strategy is out there for teams like LA and Miami. They don’t exist for most

You are trying really hard today, but you are still very wrong.

Remember when the Cavs drafted Kyrie and they added Lebron and Love?

I think you are overrating Miami...They did the same things the Cavs did. Suck draft well and add players. Lebron was not going there if wade wasn't drafted there. He left the fist chance he could as well. Without that Wade draft pick from sucking, they have no championships like most teams in the NBA

Is Russ any good. His style of play is ridiculous. Plays all out, hogs the ball and takes too many shots at a low %....Him and Butthole would have been a worse version of him and PG and an even uglier worse worse version of him durant and Harden
hes still a top 15 guy just because he is a force of nature.

as soon as that athleticism starts to fade though he is a guy that is gonna crash FAST. No 3 pt shot to make up for it.....if he wants to stay anything close to a great player through the end of that deal he would have tom ake major adjustments to his game and swallow some major pride.

Still top 15 for this year and next year....after that hes gonna start to decline and his game is not going to age well.

If you are asking if Russ is any good you should either: A. Consider watching the NBA B. Stop talking about the NBA. C. All of the above

I would consider picking C

Not even close dude.

You had to hit #1 3 times in 4 years and get a generational player who played for your team for 8 years and happens to be from Akron to come back.

If you don’t see the difference in circumstance behind how Cleveland built, vs. how Miami built, then I can’t help you.

Would you guys do it if okc include some picks? @Heatles84 @TurnUpTheHeat

Paul and picks for dragic and JJ?

it would be nice to get some picks back for you guys.

Paul's monster deal and age basically takes you out of the free agent market since him and Butler will be making like a combined 80 million for the next 3 years

but if i am the Heat I do it.....you have no cap room for the next 2 years anyway, you are missing 2 draft picks

it comes down to you basically have to stay out of the free agent market for 1 extra year since CP3 has a 3 year deal.

As i said- at this point you are pot committed........I think the move is a bad move but at this point you just gotta push your chips in as soon as you signed Butler.

hes better than CP3 at this point, and is actually usually healthy while CP3 cant stay healthy and people hate playing with him because hes a dick....him and Butler would actually fit well together. lol.....

The amount has nothing to do with it, it was the player they got in Irving, just like what Miami got in Wade. That gave them the ability to get lebron and love just as having Wade gave the heat the ability to get Lebron and Bosh. It's exactly the same. They could have drafted slightly better, but the situation is the same.

Everyone was saying after the Brooklyn trade that the Celtics were going to run the NBA. Fast forward, and Brooklyn's in a better spot now. Boston's nowhere near a title right now.

I wouldn't go that far.

Nobody knows what shape Durant will come back in and Irving is a primadonna.

Boston still has good young pieces.

But the Celtics got greedy. That was their problem.

i mean, i do know the universal truth of aging. LOL.......

but like i said, maybe ya found the fountain of youth under AA Arena, Ponce...LOL

Aging for elite athletes, with modern technology and reduced schedule is quite different then for most.

My position never wavered.

So your now position is the Heat should have depleted all assets to get a player who you know will deteriorate rapidly.

Good Stuff!

i shouldnt say bad move--- its a move that comes with plusses and minuses and a lot of risk-

if i am the Knicks or Cavs or a rebuilding team - you of course would never do it.

If you are the Heat and are missing 2 first rounders and can replenish a couple of them, you have no way of going out into the free agency market for the next 2 years anyway, and you just signed Jimmy Butler, maybe you just bite the bullet and make the move.

ID DEFINITELY insist on James Johnson going back though thats for sure.

because what other choice do they have? Wait 2 years until Jimmy Butler is 32 and making 40 million a year?

its just a disjointed mess with no clear plan.
