If you want your child to get into sports, I don't get how you don't push them towards Baseball, Basketball, or Soccer instead of the NFL....and I'm a huge NFL guy but the money isn't there

If you're tall, you will get legit shot at the NBA. Can't teach height.

I think it would be a mistake for the Heat if they gave up Richardson and Winslow, if they do. They cant sign a max guy in 2 years to go along with Butler and it’s not like they will be a whole lot better with him.

It depends who they give up but if Philly is willing to do a sign-and-trade you better believe Philly is getting a good return

Why, are the owners hurting somehow?

Most are, as far as having a chance to win.

They were looking/hoping for more parity.

Im assuming you are talking wealth?
Nobody who owns a major sports franchise is hurting for money.
They do it for the love of the game and the hope to win.

Agree.
Im not giving up both for just Butler.
It reminds me of 2 summers ago when Hayward was a possibility.
Ok to pursue, but at the right price.

They can sign a max guy in 2 years.

Heat would have a double max slot in 2021 if they don't acquire Butler which means if they do acquire Butler then they would still have a single max slot available for 2021

It's hard to be a non destination city but it can happen. The Warriors were laughingstocks for 20 years. The Cavs got one. Toronto. The Spurs have been good for decades without signing big FAs. There's no crying in basketball, make it happen or STFU

Gotta run for a while. If word comes down Kawhi will join the Lakers then props to them (or whichever team gets him or the other stars)

Hope Laker fans make sure if anyone wont give full credit (or much) to Pelinka in response to anyone saying he deserves much of the credit they make sure to answer every such post .......while saying they don't care who gets the credit and wondering why the horse continues to get beaten.
Wow you have very specific hopes

Difference being Davis and Lebron and agent went out of their way to make it known teams like the thunder back then need not apply. It was a complete hit job, it worked out for them.
You root for a team in a small market that you stole from another city. Thems the breaks.

You must have missed the proposal.....Whiteside for JR Smith and then the Heat can sign Butler.

They thought they were on that path during last lockout.
They were wrong.

Screw that.

I am finding sports like cycling where they might actually have a chance.

I am 5’11 and not that fast. Genetics aren’t On their side for a big money sport.

Size doesn't matter much in soccer lol. Lionel Messi who been a top 2 soccer player for the last 10-15 years is only 5'7
