I can understand that. Phoenix is even hotter than Vegas. The only time of year I miss is Fall. Always nice that time of year.
Seemed like we spent summers inside in Phoenix during day, like we spend winters inside here. I'd rather spend winter inside.

Though I will say there is something to the "dry heat" idea at night. Used to shoot hoops at night at a park even if 90 degrees if it was dark it was tolerable. Here 75-80 can be disgusting even at night with the humidity.

The Heat: lets spend as much money as possible on two stars that wont win us a ship

If they give up Winslow or Bam this isnt a good idea. I assume they would have to

I think they'll go with most compelling in that time slot and to me it's both LA teams. But you are right, some other good ones if they want to go that way.

Yep. Definitely the most star power, plus they play in the same building.

It'll be interesting to see if that's what they do.

Although, as much fun as the other possibilities could be, if I'm the NBA, I already have Lakers/Clips in the prime time slot for Christmas. lol

We are talking about where NBA players and their families would prefer to live.
Actually, I was talking about those who rip Cleveland in general.

As far as families, if they wanted to live in the burbs they'd find Cleveland to be like nearly any city other than weather.

Single guy? Agree he'd want no part of this city.

If this is a salary dump, make the Thunder eat a year of Dragic.

Don't give up Winslow.

The older I get the less I like temperature change & up & down barometric pressure. No matter where I would go there's going be to 3 or so months w/ lousy weather. I'd just rather it be hot. The AC is your friend in the desert.

Lol. Easily the favorites in the East. Westbrook + HEAT culture = Good night NBA.

Don't give up Winslow.

I think he will/would if needed.

Id try harder for Beal.

He isn't very good at business. Whoever is advising him needs to be fired. NBA players go broke consistantly and turning down that much money is just dumb. Who is his financial adviser? lol

To be fair, he was betting on himself. He was probably looking at a bigger pay day, or at least longer than 2 years.

Unfortunately for him, his Achilles chose to not cooperate with his plan.

He's only 28. So if he can stay healthy this year and play at least close to his pre-Achilles level, he can still get himself a big payday next off-season.

So, remember all of that “LeBron didn’t try to recruit” talk that swirled shortly after July 8, 2010? Turns out that may have been rooted entirely in inaccuracies.

In a story from Brian Windhorst and Ramona Shelburne (who is quietly becoming one of the best NBA reporters in the world), James attempted to recruit Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, Trevor Ariza and Dwyane Wade as potential members of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Sure, they wanted to play with him. Who wouldn’t? But not in Cleveland. James was the one with a connection to the place, not them. If he wanted to win, he would have to sever those ties and go somewhere where other stars would join him.
Are you forgetting the pesky detail that the Cavs had no cap room when Bosh was a FA? Probably could have made a deal for Bosh, but no way they could have traded for both, and you keep forgetting they wanted to play together.

Or that Ariza would not come because Lebron, himself, would not commit to stay?

All that said, none of this is to say NBA FAs would choose Cleveland over South Beach. But if South Beach was not an option for them to be together and the Cavs had the cap room to sign them all?

If you were not aware, Wade did choose to play the 2017-18 season here.
