Kirk Cousins. - 29 million, that's a lot of money for a player who didn't produce last year.

There's a lot of mediocre QB play on that list. And a couple of teams taking a big hit hoping like Tampa and San Fran. I don't feel bad about Wilson's hit when I see some of the guys on there like Cousins, Stafford, Carr, Garropolo, etc. Who haven't won shit.

Antonio Brown’s dead hit of $21.1m is worth mentioning...

Aaron Donald's contract is funny, the last 2 years of his contract no dead hit, 8 million the 3rd to last. But this year and next year 50+ million dead hit.

He produced, just didn't produce wins.

His numbers in a vacuum look pretty good, but if you saw him in any primetime game, you would say "WTF were the Vikings thinking?"

Watkins wow
You beat me to it, I was going to say the same thing. Out of all those names I was actually surprised to even see Watkins listed. That's a lot of cap hit for a WR who hasn't been much of a factor the past three seasons. Altho in fairness, he has missed a number of games battling thru injuries. And his role should be bigger this year, especially if Hill is suspended.

Wow that’s extremely front loaded. Most players don’t sign contracts like that, but in Donald’s case he probably got a boatload in guarantees.

its smart. If a team can afford to do that.
Leaves room later to deal with other contracts. Although I agree its rare.

Yep, Aaron arguably the best player in football, negotiated more than fairly with the Rams. Crazy, just 8 million dead hit money the last three years, total.
