I know it has next to no chance of happening, but seeing the Lakers get lucky with a top 5 pick would really make my day

Based on all of 3 times I watched Gonzaga, He fits pretty well, IMO.

He is a mobile big who should be able to defend the perimeter as he is an elite rim protector. Probably like Tristan Thompson with fewer rebounds but more blocks.

That is a high quality role player, possibly starter or 20 -25 minute bench guy in the modern game. And if he develops offensively, he has upside to be more than TT.

Most teams in the late lottery would gladly take that.

I agree.....

and the Lakers luck into #1...?

meh, a cat can hope...

With the way this franchise is operating right now, they'd fuck up the #1 pick by taking Cam Reddish

1 more week until the lottery...
Unreal that you guys are still praying for ping pong balls after landing LeBron.

Y'all need to jump into the top 3 to make this shitshow of a year worth it.

Think Spurs landing Duncan.

Not praying, just waiting for the next step. I love the drafts (NBA and NFL).

This is what Cowherd predicts...he also predicts:

Kyrie to the Lakers
Kawhi to the Clippers
AD traded to the Celtics

Not that his opinion matters, just interested to see what everyone thinks

He predicts AD to the Celtics without Kyrie? Are they adding some other star in his place? AD agreeing to stay long term without another star doesn't sound likely (and the kids/picks would all be traded to NO for AD).

Yeah I don't buy it but they could still have a pretty good core around AD, just not a championship contender.

I would think the Celtics could trade Tatum, players and picks for AD. So at the worst they have AD, Hayward and Horford. Not sure that is enough to lure AD to agree long term though.

I don't think it happens either. We could very well see AD still on the Pelicans next year unless the Pelicans start to get desperate and find a trade partner.

The longer the Pelicans wait, the weaker their leverage (as they near his free agency next summer).
